AIBU to have burst out laughing at Sleeping With the Far Right on Channel 4 five minutes into it!?

I’ve heard and saw some stuff about this show before it aired but I burst out laughing just now when the American guy revealed his father is half Indian so he is of Indian heritage as well and has joined the BNP who have apparently welcomed him with open arms!? I assumed from the adverts this was taking place with the British woman flying to America and living with a far right family there but had no idea he was living here.

His mum is absolutely horrifying- she sounds brainwashed.

I watched it to the end and the whole thing was weird. He called her an extremist!

At the end on the sofa waa weirdly poignant. She was very clever and handled him well. I think she is like the female Louis Theroigh!!

I'm just catching up with this. Bizarre that he puts his homophobic beliefs down to the fact that gay men talk about sex so much and one once drew a penis on a blackboard, but straight men never brag about sex or draw penises.

It's awful. Obviously the racism and homophobia but also his mentality of "a multiethnic school didn't work for me so now multiethnic societies can't work for anybody." Horrifying, ridiculous man.
