Daniel, jusdt a small thing, you're not original, Boy George was wearing similar back in the 80's!

I thought Jodie looked like Clare Grogan (stuck in the 80's here!) yet one of the portraits made her look like David Bowie!

Love this programme. Love the judges, especially Thai he is a brilliant artist. He is in the National Portrait Gallery. No matter that the judgements are controversial as art is subjective anyway. It’s just so entertaining and a hundred times better than the BBC painting programmes.

I agree HappyDays, I love this programme as well, wish it was on all year! I'm another fan of Thai.

I much prefer it to the Landscape version and the BBC programmes where I find that Daphne woman really critical and unhelpful.

Stephen Mangan has slotted in well and Joan Bakewell is a force of nature. I want to be her when I grow up.

I thought it was selfish of Daniel to wear that get-up - just too much information for the painters to have to include. Plus the costume and make up completely hid the real person, so they were painting a portrait of a caricature.

I really enjoy Portrait Artist of the Year, but can’t get as interested in the Landscape Painter of the Year - no idea why. They are usually painting interesting views, and the standard of the art work is always amazing - and I prefer looking at landscape paintings, if I am in a gallery. So why don’t I enjoy watching them paint landscapes? Baffling.

Love Courtney Pine! But I also thought half the painting were looking like Queen Victoria at first, LOL.

I really enjoyed this week's. Courtney Pine was so lovely & engaging.

Not quite getting the mass admiration of the young boy (Tom I think). Saying that i did quite like his this week - but there were certainly others that weren't chosen which I
(subjectively!) thought better

Well what do you think of the winner? I'd have liked the young woman to win. Have liked her portraits since the start.

Thought his commissioned portrait of the jazz (?) woman was amazing.

Just watching the Tom Jones episode now.

I loved the picture of Cleo Lane, the best picture of the series for me.
