I have loved this series, i’ve found it really well researched and presented. The statues of each candidate icon hace been fascinating, but they are not comparable.
The finalists are Ernest Shakelton, Nelson Mandela, Alan Turing, David Bowie, Pablo Piccaso and Mohamed Ali. (As an aside, Clare Balding has already picked up on the lack of women).
They all did amazing things, they all broke boundaries and very driven. They all changed the works as we know it, and influence thought and change in their own fields.
I just can’t see how it’s possible to vote for a single greatest person of the twentieth century. The finalists are just not comparable.
