Baptiste - detective from The Missing

Just seen a trailer for something coming soon. Looks like a spin off series from The Missing with the detective Baptiste. Could be good.

Any idea when?

Wasn't he supposed to be dying from a brain tumour in the last series? Miraculous recovery then .

Terrific actor though, so am looking forward to this.

I believe the last series ended with him going for surgery for the brain tumour. He had been running away from doing anything about it all that series, much to the dismay of his partner. So presumably they can now continue with the surgery having been a success.

It is going to be on BBC1 whereas The Missing was C 4.

Don't know when it starts but looks as though it is set in Amsterdam this time and has Tom Hollander Baptiste

Ooo, so glad you started this thread. I kept thinking he looked familiar but I knew I’d never watched a show called Baptiste so thought I must just be mistaken. Now I know where I’ve seen him before, and I’ll watch this ASAP.

Really enjoyed first episode, looking forward to the rest. Hurrah, something for Sunday night.
