Baby Edith seemed so small on the operating table. Her parents were incredibly eloquent in such a terrible time.

It's a fantastic series again, shows the real pressures the staff as well as the patients and their families aware under. I was impressed with Aaima's family's composure despite her operation being repeatedly cancelled.

Blood and sand what an emotional episode. How they have to constantly juggle beds, staff and patients is dreadful. Poor Aaima and her parents being sent home time and again after psyching themselves up for such a big surgery. Edith did so well. All the parents were beyond strong and amazing. It was such a shock when they said that Casey-Jack didn’t make it poor lamb. His poor poor parents. There are no words. The staffs dedication and stamina is truly humbling.

Yes this is a brilliant series. I am always in awe, seeing the doctors, surgeons and nurses in their everyday work at the hospital. They are all so amazing, so dedicated and caring, and working such long hours, with all the bed and operation problems to deal with.

Also in awe of all the machines and medical equipment surrounding the operations, and the ones surrounding the baby life saving equipment etc.

What an episode! It was an amazing moment to see baby Edith awake and smiling at the medical staff. The consultant (Ram?) is an absolute gem. I'm gutted for baby Casey's parents though.

It seemed as if Casey Jack had complex issues if he initially had a liver bleed and cardiac problems. The unit was so stretched though.

Such a sad and heartwrenching series.

Watched them all

Very scary.

I think the surgeons are actually amazing. I don't know how much they get paid but they're worth every penny. So clever

LIZS · 07/02/2019 21:49

Tonight's is also heartbreaking. Sad

Lauren and her family were just amazing. So selfless in wanting to donate anything possible from Albie.
I am shocked that there is only one emergency theatre in a hospital of that size. I was seriously considering moving to work at Alder Hey. But ruled it out after a visit there. I think I dodged a bullet. Beautiful hospital though!

Anyone watch Thursday's?

Felt so sad for little Poppy lying there sleeping do much. So little

And wow the news that that woman had cancer that can't be operated on I just thought she sat down given life changing news then just out the door again! It's... Wierd. And no one else seemed to think that was wierd

Those surgeons are amazing. I mean I think really they should be paid way more than £70,000

LIZS · 26/02/2019 06:53

That was a repeat from last year, would have been good to update those stories.

purpleme12 · 26/02/2019 06:55

Yeah I think I must have missed the previous series so hadn't seen any of them
