Agree about Jane giving a good performance on the first show but that she hasn't improved this then, and does look very pale and delicate.

I am glad Brian stayed in, and it felt wrong him doing all those lifts with a bad back. The last lift he did was probably too much - tried to flip her too quick.

I'm disappointed they didn't pair Brianne and Brian.

So pleased Gemma Collins left, she's a talentless nobody, why she was on it in the first place is beyond me.

Sewing Bee makes me feel guilty - I am very good at buying for craft projects, but much less good at actually doing them - so I currently have 4 lots of fabric - three skirt lengths, and one for a summer dress - all stashed away in various places around the house, waiting for me to get off my backside and make the skirts and dress. Oh, and I also have some pieces of oilcloth, which I bought to make myself a zipped pouch to keep all my knitting accessories (scissors, measuring tape, stitch markers etc etc) in. I haven't made that either.

Still haven't caught up but I got the general gist anyway.

fellow strictlies, I am in mourning over Pashpot leaving. The only thing that will cheer me up is if Johannes gets signed up.

I was wondering if the news would permeate the DOI thread as it's the Strictly off-season

Pasha really didn't seem happy last year despite having a ringer. I couldn't decide if the producers were bothering him or his celeb partner - or something happening at home.

My impression is that he's decided to depart on his own terms.

Could he be gearing up for a spot on The Greatest Dancer alongside Oti? I haven't watched it, I heard it wasn't getting good ratings.

To add - I'm kind of glad he's leaving as I didn't like watching sad Pasha

I hope Johannes gets a spot too. Does he have ballroom AND latin experience? I hope they're not giving Graziano a partner again, he can stick to backing dancing!

I'd like to see Janette, Kevin and Karen depart. And controversially...

Aljaz!

I've never liked Janette and Karen (sorry!) and Kevin was novel for his first season. I'm hoping he's decided to leave on a high note and follow his sister into musical theatre

Aljaz has become so vanilla. His routines all look the same to me. I prefer smouldering Aljaz to goofy Aljaz

I'm not crazy about Giovanni or Gorka either if I'm honest! AJ and Anton are good at what they do but formulaic.

I'd like to see Luba joining the main cast and Trent and his wife (Giordanna?).

I like watching Diane and Katya's choreo and the blonde pro who danced with Lee from Blue whose name escapes me. Oti is obviously awesome. Not sure about Amy, she often outdances her partner.

I'm worried the new producer is going to continue to overtheme everything until the show collapses under its own weight. Departing exec producer Louise Rainbow is still involved as a consultant in 2019.

I like a bit of SCD chatter....it reminds me (as if I needed it) what a pile of poo DOI is. And I didn't know Pasha was leaving, so it was genuine news to me.

Didn't realise Pasha was leaving until hearing it hear either! Agree about Graziano, despite my initial, ahem, interest he didn't connect at all, either with his partner or with the show. Like getting to know the Pros though, so chopping and changing them too often weakens the appeal imho.

I have a hunch Graziano will stay and Nadiya will go when I'd rather it was the other way round. Someone commented that Kevin's said on Twitter etc that he'll stay as long as the producers want him.
I hope he has a few years of duffers, he's overdue some!
People reckon Janette and Aljaz will be asked to stay. They think one wouldn't go without the other unless Janette gets pregnant.

I reckon AJ will stay unless he has something better up his sleeve. He's very popular.

Sad to read that Pasha is leaving but agree with whoever said (here or on Twitter) it‘s no good watching a sad Pashpot. He didn’t seem to be enjoying it this time round. Could have been the stuff directed at Ashley I suppose but the spark was missing.
His girlfriend seems to be all over the media at the moment, with stuff I have found quite difficult to follow; I did wonder whether this kind of big move was to do with that but that doesn’t really make sense.

Same music was used on Battle of the Blades (pro skater with pro hockey player) with my favourite skater Shae-Lynn Bourne. Starts at 3.33 mins in for those interested - tis awesome.

James has already done paso stuff with Phantom, wonder whether he will go the army lunge approach above or do some tango? He knows the song and may well have chosen it - his paso doble with Denise is one of my favourites from SCD

Thanks for the videos! I've never heard of Battle of the Blades, I might need to look up some other routines on YouTube! Ice hockey is such a crazy sport but at least the contestants have a head start knowing how to skate in some capacity. It must make for interesting routines as they still have a lot to master.

I hope JJ pulls it off tomorrow, skating to that track could be epic. I wonder if he'll bring his cape
