Well what did we think of that? I didn't see it all as I had to pop out but I enjoyed what I saw; will re watch on Catch Up.

I don't even know who he is but I did enjoy it. It should make history fun and accessible for more people. I liked how he got quite emotional. Of course tens of thousands of people are descended from the early kings but it's a good hook for the programme.

It was hilarious-I wish I’d started drinking earlier-I’d have laughed even more. When he gets home “Danny Dyer” puts on a silk dressing gown, lights up a menthol cigarette in a long holder and gives thanks in his real posh voice that he’s finished being “Danny Dyer” for the day.

I thought it was hilarious. He has such a great turn of phrase. In that amazing chapel - "this is where God would do 'is plottin'" just made me laugh!

I thought it was hilarious! You could tell that in some parts he felt awe struck (if that's the right word?) and in others he was playing up his personality ("'av it watermelon!").

Lighthearted history fun. I was a bit surprised he didn't know Normandy stems from "Northmen" aka Vikings as he's my age but not everyone's into history.

It's a fun watch .

@LadyRochfordsIcedGusset I didn't know that either to be fair but I'm thick as mince when it comes to things like that.
I really enjoyed it, it got the balance between humour and information spot on.
