Can’t Seth and Nick move into one of the holiday homes for the time being, after all they both work for Frank? I’m too invested in classic Emmerdale!

JaneJeffer · 12/12/2019 16:08

Why did Seth lose his job? Doesn't Frank keep game anymore? And is Nick unemployed as well?

Lynn is such a troublemaker but such a good, well-written character and the actress plays her brilliantly.

RIP Sheila. 100 years old!
I haven't watched all week so will be having a binge today!

Rockmeamaryllis · 14/12/2019 07:19

Such sad news. An amazing lady.

JaneJeffer · 17/12/2019 14:32

Love the band playing Nirvana Grin

Me too but made me feel really old, I said to my OH I thought that was only a few years old. Grin

ScarletPower · 18/12/2019 15:43

Well wasn't it refreshing to see a normal birth! I wasn't around for Victoria's birth when it was on originally and when I saw the snow this time, I thought surely Sarah must be giving birth in an upside down landrover in a ditch but nope! No drama, just a bit of a sweaty face from Sarah and hand wringing from Jack.

cherrytree63 · 30/12/2019 08:26

@ScarletPower yes agree re the straightforward birth!
And Annie coming round made me a bit emotional Smile

cherrytree63 · 05/01/2020 02:14

I'm not sure how much time has elapsed since the plane crash but I think everyone's being really mean to Chris like he's supposed to have adjusted in a week.
Especially Lynn who was very nasty to him.

JaneJeffer · 08/01/2020 14:33

I loved the wedding. Do brides have "going away" outfits anymore?

Laughing like at a drainpipe Grin

Poor Viv.

I was driving myself mad trying to remember who that cop played in Corrie but I finally remembered he was Gary's dad Eddie Windass.

Well spotted !
Did anyone else notice the crooks were parked up next to a bench and bin, then drove round the corner and passed the same bench and bin?
Joe's commando mission was funny, especially him leaping through the air when the PO exploded.

JaneJeffer · 10/01/2020 14:37

Ashley! Grin

It's funny and horrible at the same time. Poor Shirley Sad

First mention of the Dingles and Glovers!

JaneJeffer · 11/01/2020 00:21

The way they pretended there was this long running feud between the Sugdens and the Glovers Grin

Elsa is evil.

OP posts:
cherrytree63 · 15/01/2020 07:59

She is indeed.
Why does Rachel dress like a middle aged woman? First time round I had serious Rachel's hair envy when she was younger.
And Elsa only wears that green suit.
Poor Alan, Shirley was very good for him.

JaneJeffer · 15/01/2020 12:04

I was thinking that about the way the younger women dress. Lynn is only in her twenties as well.

Where did the Aussie Viking appear from?

OP posts:
Disfordarkchocolate · 15/01/2020 19:22

I used to love Emmerdale Farm, it all went downhill when the Tate's joined. I much preferred to have some farming storylines.

cherrytree63 · 16/01/2020 07:58

@Disfordarkchocolate for me it's going down hill with the Windsors and the Doctor's family.
I want more of the farming stuff, some of it was very informative!
There's enough horses in it to keep me watching the classics. I stopped watching the modern one about a year ago, but before that I'd watch it in catch up and fast forward through the boring stuff.
Vic and Zoe have the same "angry" acting method, clamping their teeth and talking through their lips whilst bulging their eyes .
