I’ve had a google and there doesn’t seem to be any information on it having been shut down or anything. It’s just sort of stops being part of storylines in around 2002. Although the writers must have decided it was shut down or else they’d not have opened the Hop on the same land.

Didn't the Kings build a holiday village which got blown up in a gas explosion or something? I remember that Soapstar family being there.
