At this point had Eli just not been thought of as a character or does he turn up at some point and nobody knew he existed? I know he's currently busy in Classic Corrie but am wondering if it's one of those situations where back stories are changed to suit current storylines

I can't remember if Marlon ever mentioned having a brother before Eli showed up.

I think it was implied that Linda took some of the cocaine after Lord Snooty showed her the bag.

Why is everyone suddenly going to Australia?

I thought I'd missed an episode, the Aus trip just out of nowhere!

I know we're seeing the episodes much more rapidly than they were IRL but the Woolpackers' trip to Australia came and went out of nowhere. Now Kim's away to New Zealand. What's that all about. I have now given up on current Emmerdale but will continue with Classic as it was preferable in those days,

I missed Friday's and today they were back from Australia already!

@RaraRachael I stopped watching current Emmerdale after the Jacob/ Maya story, but I'd lost interest before then, just kept hoping it would pick up again. I watched an episode out of boredom when I was in hospital but only recognised a couple of characters.

No sympathy for Jack either. I don't see the appeal of Rachel tbh. Very plain and bordering on the frumpy. Still, you don't look at the mantlepiece when you poke the fire as my dad used to say
