Me too. Obviously Butch has learning difficulties and needs help not punishment to learn right from wrong. It was very sad.

I think he must be the baby's dad. I did watch it then but can't really remember much about the Cairns family so I'm thinking they weren't in it for very long.

I don't remember the Cairns Family at all, but judging by the dates I think I had started a job working afternoons/evenings and wasn't finishing work until 7pm, so I'd probably stopped watching it.

I remember the son but not the others. I wonder if he stayed around longer.

I remember the son more than the others and then he turned up in Corrie as possibly Mike Baldwin's son from a previous relationship but not entirely certain

Oh yes @JaneJeffer, of all people Jack! Although I don't think there's been any real chemistry between him and the new Sarah, he's the character I've always thought to be honourable.

Sorry but I can't take seriously the notion that Emma Cairns was a raving nymphomaniac who seduced her sister's boyfriend. She looks, acts and dresses like a frumpy Famous Five character.

Why can't Kathy take Alice to see Nick?

I think there's an invisible force shield in soaps that stops people leaving or returning
Characters that move away never come back for weddings or funerals, or to see new babies.
