although Gordon's 'sex' face is a bit creepy in my opinion.

He looked in pain before he kissed Mrs T today (Grin missed it live, was having a birthday lunch for my mum).
I don't see how Zaniel can stay together.

Zara needs to move in with 6tl- her house looked like a b and b reception area today. Her house seems huge!

Surely Ben will have moved on now?

toldmywrath · 31/01/2019 14:45

It's like déjà vu all over again! I'm sure they mentioned Newcastle move for the rev previously ( in a preview/coming up tomorrow)

toldmywrath · 31/01/2019 14:46

Good point re the letters going to The Mill. Especially as Frances mentioned that Al's mother had given her his address and hoped he didn't mind.

toldmywrath · 31/01/2019 14:47

The graffiti was well placed!

toldmywrath · 31/01/2019 14:48

Funny how the weather balloon camera landed back in Letherbridge. I mean, what are the chances?

toldmywrath · 31/01/2019 14:48

Ah Ben, I remember him. Surname Dover if I recall correctly. Grin

Smotheroffive · 31/01/2019 14:52

Haha! Told Dover does Ben know Phil ...you know McAvity!

What was the graffiti then?

toldmywrath · 31/01/2019 14:53

Raahh. Jeremy Vine was talking about Warhammer today BBC radio 2 13.40 as I was driving home from work.
I thought of you (and your DH playing dungeons and dragons) is it the same sort of thing?

blamethecat · 31/01/2019 14:55

Isn't Ben Dover (the porn 'actor') the dad of one of the kids from outnumbered ?

Raahh · 31/01/2019 15:00

yes, Tyger Drew Honey, is his name iirc. Was he Jake? in Outnumbered.

Now, having watched all that, could someone fill me in on the back story with Frances? It must have been when I was having one of my spells of CBA to watch very often and the flashbacks didn't help much. How did they first meet, was she his mum's vicar? I assumed his mum lived locally. Is there any particular reason why they were writing rather than emailing or similar? Had there been any romance previously?

Smotheroffive · 31/01/2019 15:51

Thanks Told yes Raah he was Jake in outnumbered. But who's actually Ben...from what? Has he been in Docs before?

Raahh · 31/01/2019 15:56

Meet Al's dad died , just before Christmas (when they did the Christmas Carol episode, 2016), he wasn't close to his dad. He didn't think he was proud of him. They weren't local- I think they lived in Bedfordshire.

In the April of the following year Al went home to visit his mum- it was when the concerns over her dementia were first raised. He to
ok Eeeash with him. He bumped in to Frances near the church (I think they were putting a bench there for his dad,)- and he did

n't know at that point she was the vicar. But they instantly had a bit of a spark. Frances helped him realise his dad had loved him after all.

They must have kept in touch after that.

Until this week- I didn't realise it was that long since she had been in it!

Ben stepped in as Practice Manager when Mrs T went on a very long holiday last year. Seem to remember Zara didn't like him much

Oh, and Ben was gay, iirc, and was ignominiously outed by Jimmi's rather annoying nephew(?) who came from Liverpool for a while to work at St Phils.

Thanks Raahh. We used to have Sky multiroom and I would watch it upstairs DH ridiculed me if I tried watching it downstairs before I went to bed but the box packed up a couple of years ago and we didn't get round to sorting it for ages so I got out of the habit apart from Fridays when I'm off work and could watch live downstairs. Got the Sky sorted out a couple of months ago so I'm back Grin

Smotheroffive · 31/01/2019 17:59

that was Jake from outnumbered, how did I not know this?!! I have spotted him in other dramas, don't know how I didn't see it, mind blown!

Smotheroffive · 31/01/2019 21:25

Ben was the black guy who was outted by Jimmie temporarily resident nephew.

What has the porn star Ben (tygers df) to do with doctors?!

Raahh · 01/02/2019 07:25

smother yes, we know. Grin
blame just mentioned Ben Dover that's all. And I went on a a tangent about TDF.
we ramble a lot on the thread, sorryGrin

(I am deliberately trying to put off defrosting the car, which is why I'm waffling here instead of doing something useful. I hate this weather).

Raahh - I was going to watch "Sex Education" on Netflix but got bogged down in Schitt's Creek (haha) as I saw it recommended somewhere. Not sure what to make of it - I think it is supposed to be a comedy but it's not lol. Nevertheless I am nearly at end of first series. A rich family lose all their money and end up in a motel in nowheresville. The Dad bought the town (this must be an American thing) 20 yrs ago for a joke and it is the only asset the Govt. thought was worthless. There are no nice interiors, scenery, weather or clothes so I think the only reason I am perservering is to remind myself how lucky I am not to live in the American mid-west. but I digress.

Raahh · 01/02/2019 09:42

Oh- I watched the first couple of Schitt's Creek episodes - not sure what I made of it either! It became another of those things that dh ended up watching on his own. Grin

Now the dc are safely back at school, I have been able to finish Sex Education, which I quite enjoyed, despite the subject matter. Lots of lovely Welsh scenery (reminded me of being back at university, though it wasn't near where I went), and nice houses Grin.

Now I need to find something else to watch...

MadisonAvenue · 01/02/2019 09:45

Pencil I managed about 10 minutes of Schitt's Creek.
My current binge watch is Undercover Boss USA, only problem is that it's on Channel 4's catch up and there are ads.

I liked Ben.

Can anyone jog my memory, was anything said about a new doctor joining the practice since Heston died? Not that they actually need one but still...

Raahh · 01/02/2019 09:51

Madison
SPOILER* ish (just in case) not that we usually bother ... but I do know that there is a new Doctor coming, from articles I have read, it's not really a spoiler as such as if anyone wants to know, (the actress in question has done a few interviews).
