Anyone used SRO Audience tickets?

Hi, I have tickets to one of SRO shows on Sunday. I want to take my niece so we need to arrive early enough for the best possible chance of getting tickets. If you have been before...how early did you go to get your tickets? We don't have priority tickets...just the usual ones. X

Where is it at? Some studios are bigger than others and it can depend on what you're seeing as well (how popular the show is). What time does it say the doors open?

Naughtykitty · 17/01/2019 14:47

It's Britains Got Talent at the London Palladium. It says the doors open at 2 but you must go to the ticket exchange first. X

For HIGNFY I used to make sure I was there a minimum of 2 hours before doors (and didn't always get in!) - something like this I'd probably make sure I was there by 11am at the latest.

Crikey. That one will be popular - you might need to get there a couple of hours early to guarantee getting in.

We were at a recording of Live at the Apollo last September and arrived at 5.30, which was the time the doors opened, only to find a long, snaking queue of people. It's a popular show but you wouldn't need to get there 2 hours early.

For a popular show like HIGNFY I'd usually get there 2-3 hours before doors open. That's sufficient for most shows. But have a look online (e.g. on the Digital Spy forums) for people who have been in the audience for BGT. I'm sure lots of people will have posted their experiences and shared the best time to start queuing.

If in doubt, always aim to get there earlier rather than later. If you get there too early and there's barely anyone in the queue you can always disappear to the nearest McDonalds/coffee shop for half an hour until it gets a little busier. It's better than being too late and getting turned away.

Got to London Studios 3 hours before a QI performance and I was probably 20th last to get in. QI obv popular but probably just as much as BGT?

For a weeknight recording of HIGNFY 90 mins was fine but that’s because most people were coming after work. For a weekend recording of GBBO Extra Slice we got there two hours before and just got in.

Did you get in?

Naughtykitty · 21/01/2019 13:55

We did! It was very good. We went at 10 and then went for a look around the shops and for lunch. They actually opened the doors at 3 not 2 and then one of the judges made us wait 2 hours before even starting!!! It was a lot of waiting around but all worth it in the end.

Go on! Which one of the judges? Was it Cimon Sowell? Grin
