True Detective S3

Have added the series to my watchlist and hoping it will be more like S1 (fantastic) than S2 (rubbish, gave up after 2 eps).

Anyone been quick on the uptake with it already?

Didn’t draw me in. Dh thought it was ok.

Hmm, not exactly a ringing endorsement. I shall give it the (in my household) 3 episode fair trial and see....

Slow and sultry! I enjoyed it. Engaging characters.

I really liked it. The acting was amazing and i found the story interesting and very engaging.

The acting is amazing. The storyline is really filling out beautifully. There are some very powerful characters.
The setting and the mood are fantastic.
Mahershala Ali is an amazing actor who is very engaging.
The story is so far unfolding over 3 time zones. 80's 90's and now. The make up job is incredible on Ali.
I think it'll be as good as season 1. Season 2 was absolutely shit.

Oh that's more positive! I'm finishing the last few eps of Ray Donovan this week so I'll start TD after that.

I can't wait for episode 3. This week's double episode has really given the viewers a chance to get hooked.
Apparently the show makers are very aware of season 2s failures and have gone to great lengths to make s3 as good as s1

I've watched episode 1. Initially I thought it was slow but by halfway through I was hooked. Brilliant acting, great tension. I think it's going be very good.

Started watching and thought it was great. Season one was brilliant, Season 2 unwatchable. Hopefully this will take after season one.
