I love it and Brenda Blethyn is wonderful.
For me it is so much better than blood and guts like Luther and SW.
Mind you I am from the North East.
Surely the ‘big star’ was Peter Davidson whose only crime was incompetence or was Natalie played by someone I should have heard of?

I haven't seen it yet but I'm excited! I love how bleak it all is. Plus she reminds me of my mum (no longer with us).

Just watched it. I love the scenes with the huge skies and sea, and agree with a PP about it being so much better than blood & guts stuff like Luther.

Yes, the locations and mood are consistently good; i find myself saying "look at that view" more than once.

I watch it annoyed at how fast she nips between locations. I'm in the North East and no way could cover the ground she does in a day!

The only thing that puts me off slightly is her warbling accent, which even to my untrained ear sounds very fake.

I could watch it just for the scenery alone.
we did lol at the extra's. she would be giving orders and they never got any. plus they just got to stand at the back and didn't even get a cup of tea.
