Rake - Australian about a louche barrister. Very entertaining with a charismatic lead actor.
Schitt's Creek - brilliant Canadian show about a very rich family having to move to a crappy little town. The good thing about it is that they don't sneer at the people in the town and start to fit in.
Call My Agent - French show about talent agents. Some very famous French actors play themselves in it - Juliette Binoche, Isabelle Huppert, Beatrice Dalle etc. Really good. I was a bit sad when I ran out of episodes.
The Ranch - American show with Sam Elliott, Debra Winger and Ashton Kutcher. It's about a not very successful footballer who moves back to his family's ranch. Apart from Kutcher, who is a bit of a weak actor, the acting is fab and it's about people TV often ignores.
A lot of people have recommended Grace & Frankie. It's a wonderful show and there's a new series starting next week.
If you're looking for fun, try Jane the Virgin. It has a bonkers soap opera plot, but funny narration and very good acting (and some impossibly handsome men). It also touches on important subjects to Hispanic people in America (like living in the country illegally). The man, who plays Jane's father, Rogelio, is brilliant.
