I’m in need of easy entertainment. Something along the lines of The Good Place, Good News, Gilmore Girls. I’ve also been watching Crown and Last Kingdom, I enjoy them but want something reaallyyy simple and relaxing. Any recommendations? TIA

Rake - Australian about a louche barrister. Very entertaining with a charismatic lead actor.

Schitt's Creek - brilliant Canadian show about a very rich family having to move to a crappy little town. The good thing about it is that they don't sneer at the people in the town and start to fit in.

Call My Agent - French show about talent agents. Some very famous French actors play themselves in it - Juliette Binoche, Isabelle Huppert, Beatrice Dalle etc. Really good. I was a bit sad when I ran out of episodes.

The Ranch - American show with Sam Elliott, Debra Winger and Ashton Kutcher. It's about a not very successful footballer who moves back to his family's ranch. Apart from Kutcher, who is a bit of a weak actor, the acting is fab and it's about people TV often ignores.

A lot of people have recommended Grace & Frankie. It's a wonderful show and there's a new series starting next week.

If you're looking for fun, try Jane the Virgin. It has a bonkers soap opera plot, but funny narration and very good acting (and some impossibly handsome men). It also touches on important subjects to Hispanic people in America (like living in the country illegally). The man, who plays Jane's father, Rogelio, is brilliant.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I’ve just finished the first season of Offspring and I love it. I now have a long list of shows to watch afterwards too GrinFlowers

If you don't mind subtitles, I suggest Shtisel. It's basically a family drama set in an Orthodox Jewish community. Don't let that put you off as it's really about the trials and tribulations of the unlucky-in-love youngest son in the family. I absolutely loved it and wish it ran to more than two seasons. Lots of gentle comedy whilst giving some insight into a community unfamiliar to most people.

Oh, Shtisel is amazing!

Call my Agent is a brilliant series. Best Film Nothing to Hide. Slightly darker Ozark. I also loved Weeds.

I've enjoyed watching Miranda again. Gentle but always makes me laugh.
