New thread.

OP posts:
Raahh · 16/01/2019 14:14

I would love to be a patient-extra on Doctors . It would be great. Grin

Couldn't make a career of it, though could you? Since they don't have many patients.

Raahh · 16/01/2019 14:15

Father Brown has started very bizarrely Grin

SubtitlesOn · 16/01/2019 14:18

According to the website about filming the episodes

They film 2 or sometimes 3 episodes at the same time on same day

Which made the episodes even more funfunfun to watch but obviously much harder to learn lines etc

FuzzyCustard · 16/01/2019 14:21

We could have other walk on parts like "Person in wine bar", "Shopper", "Member of PPG", "Student"...unlimited opportunities for a bunch of able mumsnetters.

We'd need to use the same stage name so every cast list has A M Netter on there somewhere. Best employee actor in history. And the most versatile Grin

blamethecat · 16/01/2019 14:50

Well not as good as yesterday, I did love how sunny it was and how green the trees were on Eeeesh and Sid's walk, despite Sid complaining about being cold.
I have an irrational hate of women wearing ties so didn't like Al's Px of the day.
Busker man was terrible, hope they have to remove his vocal cords., not that we will ever see him again to find out though.

Pencilmuseum · 16/01/2019 15:18

yes I concur with all of the above. unless anyone has an equity card it will be "no speaks" only for the acting parts. Blame - I too hate women in ties. For some moments I thought she was a police officer there in some capacity (missed the very first bit). Also - if you want to see some sunshine - it is always sunny in "Modern Family" on sky which is why I used to watch it. Do you think the same Agatha Christie production team have been sent to Father Brown? some very "off-key" story lines recently but I like to look at the clothes etc. Bet the props people have a lovely time fitting out the kitchens and the wardrobe ladies can buy as many 50s dresses and cardies as they like. So many conical bras and cigarette pants. Good for the short of leg like me involving no pesky hemming.

FuzzyCustard · 16/01/2019 15:23

Rubbish for a tallish person like me pencil...more like shorts!

We can do plenty of silent acting -no Equity card required for eyebrow raising, pearl clutching and bosom hoicking.

The vicar showed his true colours having lunch with Mrs T when a bereaved family need him.
Am I the only one who finds him creepy ?

MeetOnTheledge · 16/01/2019 16:57

Just caught up with yesterday, that might have been the most WTF episode I've ever seen. One or two LOL moments "Code Brown". Will scroll up and see what you all thought. Grin

Bringbackthestripes · 16/01/2019 17:40

I hope the vicar doesn’t turn out to be creep Redshoe Mrs T could do with some happiness.....as well as a decent hairdo

YenZen · 16/01/2019 20:39

It's only on doctors that people get referred on the SAME DAY to see consultants!!

doctorsnoddy · 16/01/2019 21:02

Ooh I would love to have a silent role in Doctors. Just caught up. Imagining the look on Dr Khans face when the scruffy busker shows up with that scribbled bit of paper. I'd have to jump through a hoop or two to get a case like that seen in 6 months!

MadisonAvenue · 16/01/2019 21:26

I haven't watched today's episode yet, I'm currently watching the proper doctors with proper patients on Channel 5.
Haven't spotted a ping pong table and neither have they beaten each other up yet.

doctorsnoddy · 16/01/2019 22:01

You know I never watch Doctors behind closed doors. Too much like real life. Give me fantasy Doctors a Time!

doctorsnoddy · 16/01/2019 22:05

*any time - sorry been a long day

AnneEyhtMeyer · 16/01/2019 22:34

I think they should use us as "women drinking wine in the Ikon". We'd smash that.

blamethecat · 17/01/2019 06:43

Absolutely Anne I am up for lunch at the icon Grin

Pencilmuseum · 17/01/2019 10:05

count me in. Although I was a bit distressed by the sight of that laminated menu the vicar was looking at yesterday in the Icon. Is the Icon the same as the Lether bar?

SubtitlesOn · 17/01/2019 12:13

Amazing idea SmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmile

Would love to meet Mrs T and Al and even Val and Gobby GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Went to our brilliant GP this am and he wants me to have some injections, so went to reception to make appointments and got given one this afternoon - amazing!!!

doctorsnoddy · 17/01/2019 12:26

I wonder if anyone from Doctors reads this thread. If so, pleeeease can we be extras at the Ikon. We'd be brilliant!

Raahh · 17/01/2019 13:13

Oh, I would love to be a lady who lunches.

Not a lunch lady, that would be different Grin

webwoman05 · 17/01/2019 13:29

Yesterday's episode was a bit random wasn't it? Sid really has been stitched up by Daniel who of course is such a paragon of moral virtue!!! I do hope that Sid does stay. Can't wait to see how Zara copes with seeing him everyday!!! Grin

LIZS · 17/01/2019 13:36

Every so often there is a random episode which can exist outside the core timeline , presumably in case the schedule gets unexpectedly disrupted.

Sparklingbrook · 17/01/2019 13:43

Hello. Going to give Doctors a watch again today. Grin
