I was watching The Vicar of Dibley last night. It was so funny. I love a good sitcom and it just reminded me how great they are and how they just don't seem to be the same any more. I loved loads from Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em through to The Brittas Empire and Men Behaving Badly. Loved them all, had box sets and watched them over and over. What sitcoms did you love?

Yes love Vicar of Dibley so much
Loved Brittas Empire!

No nothing is anywhere near as funny for a long time. The IT Crowd was really good

I'm so pleased someone loves the Brittas Empire. I do have the DVD box set . Haven't dug it out in a while.

I remember a few from my younger days! Fresh fields, Second thoughts, Allo Allo... they don’t make them like they used to!

Oh yes, I watched those too. I'd forgotten about them!

I've not heard of those rhubarb

Purple they were mid-eighties comedies written by John Sullivan (Only Fools and Horses).

'Just Good Friends' was about Penny (Jan Francis) and Vince (Paul Nicholas) who meet again by chance, five years after he jilted her. She's prim and middle-class with disapproving parents, he's something of a loveable rogue with a quick line in wit - there's undeniable attraction. Can they rekindle a friendship or more? Possibly of its time but it was pretty big back then.

'Dear John' is about a group of singletons and misfits who meet through a friendship club. John was played by the late Ralph Bates (post Poldark) Gentle comedy only two series but qutie popular at the time.
