Oh crap, forgot that had started again, the kids wanted to watch it.

I love that programme, like you said Cod,it is a pity about the Fruitful harvest. Unfortunately I think it's going to continue - the reduction in the number of boats I mean.
I was shocked at the price of that big boat - the one with showers and proper little cabins, it made the other boats look really old didn't it

That big ship caught a haul of fish worth £300,00 in one day! Would love to know how much the restaurants charged the customers for it.

Oh and the Fruiful harvest had to stop fishing, the man who owned it didn't get a lot of fish, at least not enough to pay all the crew. it went off and did some work for the big oil rigs, but then it just stayed in the harbour, and the crew had to find other jobs.

How are the smaller traditional style boats going to compete with big boats like that? They can go further, and stay out longer. Also if they have showers and sky TV, then all the fishermen are going to want to work on them, leaving the smaller boats without crew
