Looking for a new series to binge watch, would love a science fiction type show to watch but open to any suggestions really some shows I've watched and enjoyed recently:
Altered carbon
The leftovers
The badlands (bit cheesy but still enjoyed it)
American gods
Travellers
The innocents

Can be on now, prime or Netflix.
Thank you Smile

Twelve Monkeys is very good. i think it's 4 seasons so plenty to binge on.

Some of my faves:

The OA.
Glitch.
The Expanse.
Lost in Space.
Black Mirror.
Stranger Things.
Dark.
12 Monkeys.

The Expanse was great. Battlestar Galactica also brilliant.

I assume you've seen all the Star Treks as well? Voyager and DS9 are on Netflix. I've actually just rewatched all of Voyager, I had forgotten how good it was - so many of the episodes are like a slightly gentler Black Mirror, exploration of technology, individuality, etc. And Janeway is the best captain ever.

And if we're getting into classic series, make sure you've seen Firefly and Dollhouse...

MerryBear · 17/12/2018 16:32

The Rain
Salvation, enjoyable in a schlocky kinda way

Last year I did all the Star Treks in order of broadcast, starting from original series (and including films). Major time commitment but worth it. My favourites were Deep Space 9 and Voyager. Didn’t finish Discovery though (lastest one, made by Netflix). Too dark.

Anyway, it took me just about the whole year but it was worth it.

Thank you some really great suggestions to look into, I really really want to watch the expanse but as far as can tell it came of Netflix and was moved to amazon but you need to pay per series as it's not under the prime content.
Twelve monkeys I watched the first three or four episodes and felt like I was loosing interest but I maybe should go back and try again as it seems quite popular.
I watched the first of the new Star Trek series but then ended up moving onto something else I love the Star Trek films but have never been an avid watcher of the actual show.

I loved 12 Monkeys - although I didn't actually like the film. I've been trying to persuade family and friends and casual acquaintances to watch it simply because I want to discuss it with somebody.

I liked Falling Skies, too.

I assume you've seen the latest series travelers if it's on your list. Season 3 was released on Friday and I watched all of it over the weekend.

Timeless... Netflix!

PawneeParksDept · 17/12/2018 17:55

Dark x 1000

If you love Sci Fi you'll love Dark

NotAnotherJaffaCake · 17/12/2018 17:56

Babylon 5. Absolutely groundbreaking in its time (multi series plot arcs) and the writer went on to write Sens8.

Icansmellcolours · 17/12/2018 18:25

No I didn't realise travellers had released another season BlushI've been waiting ages, t will be next on my list then. Have heard of Babylon 5 never watched it though, I didn't know it was by the same person, will have to see if I can find.
Have watched dark (so good) and timeless.
