Is anyone watching the programme about Lockerbie?

Utterly heartbreaking. I’m scottish and my dad was a police office who had to go and work at Lockerbie.

I think this is the first time I have seen a programme with interviews with families and is so sad.

30 years ago. RIP

No I have been out.
We had a tyre blow out last year and they took us to Lockerbie. The garage couldn’t have been nicer. It was near 12:00 and they sorted out the tyre while that was happening the receptionist made us coffee and biscuits. It was freezing cold and we soon thawed out in a little waiting room stacked with a huge variety of magazines.
My daughter has a Uni friend whose family lived on the outskirts and was living there at the time.

I always thought two minutes earlier and it would likely have been over were I was living at the time. It makes you think.

Ken's biological mother Carole also appeared on a BBCScotland programme about the tragedy. She only traced him after his death but she lost him twice, once when she had to give him up and another when she found out he was gone. Poor woman.

That lady whose family, those little girls.

That’s so sad about Ken’s mum.

And it’s so scary about how an innocent change of plan, traffic was the difference between life and death.
