Not being much of a telly watcher, I need to know whether Season one of 24 is worthing watching

I have the box set that friend has lent me and she reckons I will be hooked. Do I need a whole picnic of food and drink around me before I sit down tonight so I don't have to move for 24 hours? !!

(Mind you, I also think that series 1 of the Sopranos is the only one worth bothering with, and everyone else thinks it's the best thing ever on TV.)

I didn't make it to the end of the first episode. I'm either not in the mood but it's crap - I can't decide.

Keifer is delish though, improving with age.
