DD wants me to knit her a Doctor doll. Fair enough. Problem is - what colour is his suit? And his coat?

I have a picture in my head of a brown suit and coat with a black tie but I think he also wears a blue suit with a maroon tie.

What colour should I use? Does it matter? Do I need to get a life?

FWIW I am a huge Doctor Who fan and should know this and am that I don't.

The suit's usually blue isn't it?
A sort of faded navy pinstripe. That he looks oh so good in!
And a brown long trench coat type thing.
Here's the suit.
All other pictures are showing the brown suit but he wears the blue in the show more. If that made sense!

Its blue a lot atm

That's what I thought at first but then I looked at the cover of one of my books and it's brown!

Definitely gonna do a blue suit & brown coat.

Thanks guys.

He wore the brown a lot more to start with (my brother has a very similar suit and got a lot of comments at the time).

Wow - are you going to design your doll or is there a pattern somewhere?

lemonaid · 23/06/2007 21:23

He was wearing brown again tonight...

Fubsy - I'm adapting a pattern for a pirate from this month's Simply Knitting magazine. I'll post a pic once I'm done.

I did his body tonight (oh, if only . . . sigh ) and have started on his head. I've gone for the blue suit 'cos I had some the right shade left over from knitting a nappy cover for ds - waste not, want not.
