why do I find the end of the series of ER so frustrating?

Anyone see this tonight? The last in the present series of ER. Why can't there be some happiness? The whole Iraq storyline is so political. And why do I fear the worst for Luca who has gone off to Kosovo to see his father alone, without his wife and child???!!!

i read a gossip thing on sky saying that goran kovac is leaving and they were trying to talk him into coming back to 'resolve' his relationship with abbey.
