Just a heads up if you enjoyed S1 & 2 (and let's be honest, who isn't fascinated by Anglo-Saxon history ) then S3 is now out on Netflix ...

loved s1 and was waiting for s2 but got distracted by breaking bad so im well behind. is it worth catching up on? can't really remember much of s1

Well I enjoyed S1&2, and S3E3 ... seems quite close to the books as I recall.

I think it's now Netflix only. But at least if you subscribe to Netflix there's no adverts. I wonder how much longer Sky subscribers twig that are they paying for adverts as well as content ....

I really want to discuss it, but I'm only on Episode 4 and I don't want to spoil it for anyone or have it spoilered for me! I miss it being on BBC for the discussion of each episode every week, but I'm glad Netflix financed it when the BBC would not.

I don’t know why the BBC would not fund it, it’s amazing. Absolutely loved S3 and binged it in a week.

I am rather smitten with Uhtred though.

I bloody love the last kingdom and had been waiting for it on BBC and wondering why it was taking so long.....

it really is so well done. In the E9 I ran through all the emotions joy, relief, blubbering crying and frustration lots of frustration.

Huge fans in our household. We love repeating, “I am Uhtred, son of Uhtred”. Great series, cannot wait for S4.
