Here, in case extra alcohol or earplugs are required, are the song choices-

GIRLS
Bella Penfold - Strong by London Grammar
Scarlett Lee - Can't Take My Eyes Off You by Frankie Valli
Shan Ako - Summertime by Billie Holiday

GROUPS
Acacia & Aaliyah - Act Our Age (Original)

OVERS
Danny Tetley - My Way by Frank Sinatra

BOYS
Anthony Russell - Beyond The Sea by Bobby Darin
Brendan Murray - Say Something by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera
Dalton Harris - Listen by Beyonce

Now, I used to love Big band, and it's not unusual to use 'modern' songs with a big band twist. But it has to work- I said last week, Rhyd doing Shirley Bassey's version of 'Get the Party started' - that worked.

I fail to see how 'Say Something' is going to work with a big band. It's a really hard song, and even Christina, with lungs the size of a Zeppelin, sometimes sounds lost in the mix. Brenda will just vanish with a Big Band.

I'm cross TTT is doing 'Beyond the Sea' one of my favourites- Will Young on Pop Idol did a great version.

I think A and A- still without a proper mentor - have been hung out to dry. The original song is a cop out- no-one has bothered to find a decent song that suits their style.

And bloody 'Listen' - Beyonce. Again. Really?

So, see y'all later!

Good grief.

dillite · 18/11/2018 20:41

Simon's face Grin Grin Grin

Destinysdaughter · 18/11/2018 20:41

Good grief everyone’s having a bloody hysterical fit when they get voted through!

Raahh · 18/11/2018 20:41

Well, good look with TTT on the tour.

Hope no more 'revelations' come out.

So A&A are out then

LadyGAgain · 18/11/2018 20:41

Who's going then?

PFB1 · 18/11/2018 20:41

In fairness, I'm his only fan on here and I'm not even voting so no idea how he's getting through!

Destinysdaughter · 18/11/2018 20:41

FFS SHAN is in the bottom 2???

NoisyBrain · 18/11/2018 20:42

Aww, good old Creosote. I do quite like her.

The80sweregreat · 18/11/2018 20:42

A and A will be off I bet.

PavlovianLunge · 18/11/2018 20:42

Can’t see them saving the girls again. Shame, at least they offer something different.

Piggywaspushed · 18/11/2018 20:42

Now watch the judges kick Shan off.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 18/11/2018 20:42

Gotta be those 2.

The80sweregreat · 18/11/2018 20:42

Remember , Brendon has Ireland voting him through.

AutumnCrow · 18/11/2018 20:42

I'm sure Anthony will be a model of decorum on the tour

nancy75 · 18/11/2018 20:42

The girls will go, they won’t save them over Shan ( who I think is quite forgettable tbh)

Piggywaspushed · 18/11/2018 20:43

A and A have two votes in the bag. It's down to Louis.

PavlovianLunge · 18/11/2018 20:43

I really like Shan, but she doesn’t just tackle the song, she wrestles it to the ground, kicks it in the ribs and stamps on its glasses. I wish she’d dial it down a bit.

Raahh · 18/11/2018 20:43

Well it's obviously going to Shan who goes through.

Robbie will return to no acts Grin

The80sweregreat · 18/11/2018 20:43

Anthony and his phone on tour!
Mind boggles.

PavlovianLunge · 18/11/2018 20:44

This sign-off has got deadlock written all over it.

dillite · 18/11/2018 20:45

I think that was done on purpose, there's no way Shan would get kicked off the show and they needed someone who is a much stronger contestant than her against A&A to make it a no-brainer

The80sweregreat · 18/11/2018 20:46

Will Robbie bother coming back at all?

Piggywaspushed · 18/11/2018 20:46

I agree with pavlovian. This is not a foregone.

Raahh · 18/11/2018 20:46

So, they took 2 young girls, who didn't know each other, made them in to a duo- and then totally failed to do anything else with them.
Obviously they were never going to be suited to half the tenuous themed crap that they do on X Factor. (Though they should have just ignored the theme every week, it's worked for some).
