Watchdog - real fur sold as faux fur

Watching now, really shocked to see that retailers are selling items as faux fur when they are actually really fur.

As a vegetarian and strong anti fur person I think this is dreadful.

Completely out of order for retailers to lie and to not properly monitor their supply chain.

One of the consumers that contacted watchdog is allergic to fur and reacted to an item that was supposed to be fur free. So it's not just an ethical issue.

What do others think?

what sad world we are living in when real fur , from a real animal is cheaper than other fibres...

Redsummershoes - just what I was thinking. It's horrific.

People have been laughing at me for years as I won't even buy "faux fur" or anything with pom-poms etc, my friends and family often said "it won't be real fur it's too cheap" and then we discover this!

So I'm glad I took that stance now but I have a 17 yr old dd who's pompom daft and I'll be alerting her to this (not veggie but anti fur which is better than nothing and tbh she often eats veggie with me more often than not)
