Does anyone know if the novel "A Ghost in the Machine" was ever filmed as MM?

No OP it hasn't. I wondered why when I saw your thread, so I googled and came across the Midsomer Murders Convention website (don't judge me). According to an interview they did with Caroline Graham, it wasn't adapted because Barnaby and Troy didn't enter the story until about halfway through. But surely they could have got around that - considering there weren't that many novels to adapt, you would think they'd have used it.

I love Midsomer - but the John Nettles episodes only. The others are not Midsomer to me! The books are great too.
