I cant be the only one? Its the new Julia Davis project its so dark and cringy and compulsive viewing. Its brilliant I have to keep picking my jaw up.

yes! I thought the first one was excellent. Her fiance is just so dull and cringe and I thought it was brilliant at showing someone trapped.
The second one was even weirder and less funny I thought but still great viewing

PseudoBadger · 06/11/2018 21:17

Try her podcast “dear joan and jericha”

OneToThree · 06/11/2018 22:30

Loving it too.
Nighty night and Camping were also brilliant.

HaroldsSocalledBluetits · 06/11/2018 22:43

The fiancé is great too. Blow drying his pubes while his gf gets it on to T'pau! That is the work of a truly brilliant mind. He was Neil's dad in The Inbetweeners, wasn't he? The one that Will memorably called a "bumder"?

Iamtheresurrection · 07/11/2018 05:35

He is Neil’s dad in Inbetweeners.

bootsyboot · 07/11/2018 05:49

I love it very funny.

EachandEveryone · 09/11/2018 10:41

I dont know why but i really didnt enjoy this weeks.

I found it really disturbing, the way she is moving on to manipulate Sally’s friend’s husband and the therapy session.

Wheelchair colleague and the boss was funny though.

SheCameFromGreeceSheHadaThirst · 09/11/2018 12:03

I'm hugely disappointed in this. I love JD, and I though Camping was jaw-droppingly excellent, but this just feels like a rehash of Nighty Night, with the same manipulative narcissistic protagonist trying to blast apart the relationship of two much nicer people. But with lesbianism, to make it a bit different.

Davespecifico · 09/11/2018 12:12

I would agree she must have had some recent work done. There was a slight Bride of Wildenstein look like Simon Cowell has now.
Last night's bits where she kicked her girlfriend and gaslighted her, and the bit that proved you shouldn't see a counsellor with you abuser made me think she's been reading Mumsnet.

EachandEveryone · 09/11/2018 14:12

Yes it was really dark. I fast forwarded most of it.

Yes we're watching. I love Julia Davis. Agree the tampon scene was a bit Shock but she is well known for pushing boundaries. Also the fiance - we just call him Specsavers as he was in their ad years and years ago Grin He is completely brilliant in everything he's in. The annoying breathing when he was asleep had me in fits

Eatmycheese · 09/11/2018 22:44

I've just watched the third episode.
She perfectly captured that irritating affectation c/o Dan or should I say Mr Chubby.

MissLadyM · 09/11/2018 22:45

I love her but don't get sky Atlantic 😫

Plentyoffishnets · 15/11/2018 23:57

Did anyone watch tonight's episode? OMG - shocking and funny in equal measure. I really want to see what happens next but am sure that Emma will manage to work her way out of any responsibility.

newname100 · 16/11/2018 11:35

This is such uncomfortable comedy viewing - it is total genius. Have just watched episode 4 - just speechless. Still chucking as I write this.

Eatmycheese · 16/11/2018 21:38

Shitting hell

PayingGuests · 16/11/2018 21:43

Well episode four was so much better than the previous one. I had to turn away at the end but i still laughed.

QueenOfTheAndals · 16/11/2018 21:44

OMG, just watched the latest episode ShockShock

MymbleClement · 16/11/2018 22:01

Eatmycheese Grin

chocahoop · 16/11/2018 22:16

Jeez just caught up Shock

QueenOfTheAndals · 16/11/2018 22:24

Rather thanShockI should've saidShock💩 really.

youngestisapsycho · 16/11/2018 22:29

OMFG! But if you were Sally, wouldn’t you have run for the door instead of standing there watching!? 😂😂 💩

chocahoop · 16/11/2018 22:36

Sally is quite irritating in her inertia generally though so it fits her character. Grin

QueenOfTheAndals · 16/11/2018 22:36

You'd think Jill Emma wouldn't be able to wriggle her way out of this one but I'm sure she will...
