House Of Cards season 6 thread?

If not; we're on episode 3 and I'm...bemused...IMO it's not hanging together well.
Anyone else watching it?

I have just started it, I didn’t realise it was on.

We've seen episodes 1-3. There's a lot going on but it doesn't seem to be cohesive yet.

Watching episode 2 now - struggling to figure it all out. Can't remember so much & have watched 6 seasons of scandal since.

We stopped in the middle of episode 2 and rewatched the series catch up. It helped a bit but it still wasn't entirely making sense.

We're going to watch episode 4 and possibly 5 & 6 later.
At the end of episode 3 it is beginning to make more sense but so far it's not as good as previous series.
I'm sad about that because I loved Robin Wright's character evil as she is in previous series and I wanted her to smash it now she's president but so far...nope.
I think it's a script problem, rather than the casting or acting.

I didn’t realise it was back on. I need to add this to my watch list. I think this season will be very different because Kevin Soacey is no longer in it, although I do adore Robin Wright

What happened to Kevin Stacey was he ever charged?

I'm not sure whether that link re the charges against Kevin Spacey refers to all of the allegations against him.

That was the one that really saddened me I always rated him.

It's getting better, some proper old school hoc moments but it feels like it's going at the speed of a 16/20 parter so I feel like it could be rushed in the next 3 episodes.

We've finished the series now.

I don't think I can say anything much without dropping major spoilers but the pace does pick up towards the end of the series.

I was pleasantly surprised having read poor reviews. Just watched episodes 1-3 and really enjoyed it. I'm mesmerised by Robin Wright's amazing figure and outfits. Plus her ability to walk so elegantly in such high heels.

I started a (spoilers) thread on this last night in the Streaming section.

Just finished watching and I so wanted it to end on a high, but sadly...

I also loved RW's outfits and ability to walk in towering heels

I take it all back. Enjoyed the first few episodes but then it went downhill, descending into the bizarre and absurd
