Thanks for the link Schaden, I’ve bought the ‘forties and ‘fifties versions for my DM!

dontcallmelen · 29/10/2018 17:37

Ahem, might have bought the Christian Dior for dd then again maybe I didn’t

bonfireheart · 29/10/2018 17:48

I've loved Giovanni from day one and wanted him to win when he was dancing with Georgia, they were great together. Thought he might have had a chance with Debbie. As much as I'm "meh" about Faye, I would love them to win just for him.

Let the records show FuzzyCustard is duly admitted to the BECODBPAC.

Hurrah HURRAH. Thank you. I feel my entire life has been leading up to this most wondrous moment and it beats the socks off some plasticky environment-trashing glitterball.

FuzzyCustard · 29/10/2018 17:57

Happy Days....

Was it Giovanni that Len snapped at for answering back?

Aaaahhhh fun times. Len was such a knob.

FuzzyCustard · 29/10/2018 17:58

Oh bugger this technology lark...paper dolls were much more at my level.

FuzzyCustard · 29/10/2018 18:00

I liked Len and his pickled walnuts. Better than Bonkers Bruno, Snarky Darcey and Slimy Shirley.

SchadenfreudeUndeadified · 29/10/2018 18:01

For Fuzzy's a jolly good BECODBPAC-er
For Fuzzy's a jolly good BECODBPAC-er
etc

BTW Fuzzy - you will get your Bunty 2019 diary and a wall calendar sometime in December when the printers have shifted their lazy arses finish the print run.

SchadenfreudeUndeadified · 29/10/2018 18:03

Have to admit Len was a knob - but he was a knowledgeable knob who protected the Purity of the Daaahnce at all costs.

I miss Arlene.

clowdyweewee · 29/10/2018 18:06

Len was on Celebrity Tipping Point and he looked seriously orange.

SchadenfreudeUndeadified · 29/10/2018 18:09

He needed us as much as we needed him clowdy

Can I say how pleased and proud I am that BECODBPAC has inspired so many Christmas gifts!

Judging by Katya's recent tweet and all the tweets she's 'liking' at the moment, I'd guess her and Neil are over (maybe they were never together?) Otherwise, how bizarre.

SchadenfreudeUndeadified · 29/10/2018 18:10

And thank you for the pictures Fuzzy - a reminder of more innocent times . . .

FuzzyCustard · 29/10/2018 18:10

I once (once as enough) watched that ghastly rhyming programme with Len hosting. Can't remember what it was called but it was dire.

morningtoncrescent62 · 29/10/2018 18:13

Oooh, great, we're all talking about Bunty. I used to love the cut-out dolls, and the Four Marys. Anyone progress from Twinkle via Bunty to Tammy on their way through to Jackie? Ah, all those stories about Victorian orphans and girls who were enslaved by their cruel relatives. No wonder my generation turned out so well-adjusted Grin

Meanwhile back at Strictly, I'm glad Seann has gone. His exit was very awkward but at least it's over and done with. I had a moment of wondering whether Kate would go - which would have been sad, as she's the only 'celeb' this year I'd heard of prior to the show starting.

I was trying to remember when Strictly introduced the dance-off, and what they did before that. I think they tried a couple of different kinds of elimination before settling down to the current formula, but I can't remember what they were. Anyone? My DDs both think the dance-off is in with the bricks, but I disagree. I'm also sure there was 'props night' a few years in, maybe in about 2007 or 2008, the precursor to all the 'faffing abaht' that we now have. I seem to remember them having to work with one prop, like a hat, or a chair, and it was a big thing. Again, my DDs think I'm making this up.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 29/10/2018 18:14

It might be nice to have a panel of judges with their own joints. Dave Darcey has definitely had at least one new hip, Craig has had two, and Len had his knee, of course. I mean, it’s not the BEST advert for dawncing is it?

Speaking as one of the bionic fraternity myself...

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 29/10/2018 18:15

Make that sorority until I decide to self-identify otherwise.

PurpleOctober · 29/10/2018 18:16

@morningtoncrescent62 as far as I remember, there was no dance off the person with the lowest combined score (from both judges and viewers) was just eliminated

PurpleOctober · 29/10/2018 18:17

ANd I think the props night was a Dancing on Ice thing, but I may be wrong

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 29/10/2018 18:19

Innocent times indeed...

Top tip: sometimes second hand bookshops, especially bigger ones, have old annuals of those mags. I always head straight to any section that looks annual-y, it's always worth a rummage, you'd be surprised whats still hanging around.
