Thought I would start a proper thread as I need to find something else to watch.

Can't remember name of this film, but it was about a purple pig and a green donkey flew a kite in the middle of the night and ended up sunburnt.

Reaa · 26/10/2018 15:30

florafawna that might take some googling

Elite is defo worth a watch! It's in Spanish with English subtitles but I loved it!

Reaa · 26/10/2018 15:49

I'm on Episode 7 of Killing Eve, so will need something for this evening to watch.

Have you watched The Fall and/or The Killing?

Reaa · 27/10/2018 22:32

Not watched either of them will have a look now.

Mindhunter - based in the 70's when the FBI first set up the Behavioural Analysis Unit. Absolutely brilliant stuff.... waiting for Season 2 to come out fairly soon.

Godless - stars Michelle Dockery. Total departure from what I normally watch but she's just brilliant and loads of other great acting in it as well.

captainpantbeard · 27/10/2018 23:09

We’ve started watching Dark - it’s German with subs. It’s a cross between Stranger Things, IT and Scandi noir. Really enjoying it so far.

Stellenbosch · 27/10/2018 23:13

The good place
Better call Saul
Stranger things
Star Trek

HenryInTheTunnel · 27/10/2018 23:18

Can you narrow it down any. There is so much to choose from!

Making A Murderer. Unmissable
Wild Country. Bizarre
Suits. Easy watch. Lots of episodes
Thelma and Louise. Old classic
Casting Jon Benet. Interesting way of looking at the crime
The Killing. Danish murder mystery
Sabrina. American Teen-ish. Quite fun.
Haunting of Hill House. Potentially scary. Takes itself a bit seriously

Reaa · 27/10/2018 23:52

Loved Suits

Ideally I want some 'light' watching but I get bored easily so willing to try new suggestions.

Tried watching The Good Place, got bored after season one.

Jane the Virgin, I got bored of watching.

Big Bang Theory I also got bored of watching.

Don't really like anything with subtitles as I end up not watching what's going on, as I'm reading the subtitles instead.

Just need new ideas so will look at everything that's been suggested.

Aquamarine, I am made up as I was struggling to find something new to watch. You recommended The Fall and I ended up staying up until 2 am
watching it last night. Gripping, though I probably should not watch it as I live on my own. Noticed every creak in the house after I switched it off!

Daredevil... Daredevil!
All three seasons!... I'm jealous that you will see them all at once! (if it tickles your fancy!)
Season 3 is the most stunning amazing telly! Character driven... Tense.. Dramatic... Fantastic performances... Jaw droppingly stunning fight scenes and all to move the plot on!
I Iove it!!

donteatthesofathrow · 01/11/2018 20:23

The innocents
Maniac
The crown

LordPickle · 01/11/2018 20:38

Orphan Black is really good

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 03/11/2018 00:57

White Collar (a bit like The Mentalist if you've seen that? Former con artist become police. Very handsome lead!)
The Letdown
Jonathan Creek (I know it's old, but I've really enjoyed re-watching it)

For people who like the foreign ones, we've quite enjoyed El Ministerio del Tiempo, and are now watching A Very Secret Service (20 minute episodes, so much handier than the epic Spanish ones!).

Reaa · 03/11/2018 11:34

Loved White Collar

Ended up watching Stella on sky box sets

film- About Time-watched it last night with my DS, we both loved it, starts off a bit meh, but turns out fantastic.

FairfaxAikman · 11/11/2018 21:03

Wonder
The PBS "Secrets of" series (Chatsworth, Highclere, London Underground, etc)
Charitè (docudrama set in Berlin in the 19th century. In German but has subtitles)
Outlaw King (more accurate version of Braveheart with Chris Pine)

saganorenscarandcoat · 11/11/2018 21:08

La Mante is really good

CrispbuttyNo1 · 11/11/2018 21:09

Is Thelma and Louise on Netflix? I couldn’t find it when I looked recently. I’ve seen it loads of times but it’s my go-to when I’m out of things to watch.

I did watch Burnt today (Bradley cooper) on Netflix. Brilliant film .

TwistedStitch · 16/11/2018 13:27

Power is brilliant, and there are 5 seasons available to binge watch.

BagelGoesWalking · 18/11/2018 01:02

The Last Kingdom - takes a couple of episodes but is really good. Great male and female characters, battles and banter.
Orphan Black is outstanding
Sense8 is good, the finale isn't but that's because it got cancelled so they had to wrap up in a 1 1/2 hr finale.
The Sinner
The Good place
Godless
Zoo S1 & 2
Grace & Frankie
The Rain
Timeless
Travellers
Borderliner

Stripyhoglets1 · 18/11/2018 18:32

The Sinner - two seasons and it's excellent
