Just binge watched this in one go. Absolutely loved it in the way I loved the Munsters as a kid. Loved Rose and Dita Von Teese in particular.

Will probably re-watch it all for Halloween.

It’s like Munsters and Muppets covered in peanut butter drizzled with chocolate!

I watched it the other day (one episode). Just assumed it was some sort of cookery show. I think it’s really odd and the stuff the dog (?) comes out with is just yuk. I might have liked it as a teenager but now I think it’s just weird. Who is its target audience?

ASMRtist · 24/10/2018 14:29

I liked it. Given the time it was released hmm, I’d guess the target audience is “people who like Halloween”. Plus also crafting people, people with a macabre sense of humour, people who like vintage fashion, muppets fans and Dita Von Teese fans.

I do agree it’s more entertainment/crafting than baking/cooking.

Also ASMR people. It had a bit of an ASMR feel to it.

What is ASMR?

ASMRtist · 24/10/2018 19:09

Auto Sensory Meridian Reflex

It’s a response some people have to certain sounds/movements. Like some kinds of music giving you shivers down your spine, or a certain singer’s voice making the fine hairs on the back of your next stand up. In a pleasant way.

Here’s a Wikipedia article about it

There’s a whole sub-culture of videos by people on YouTube designed to trigger the tingles. Things like brushing hair or stroking cats, reading poetry in a special voice, make-up artist role plays.

Hah. Weird, I thought it was going to be something rude Grin. I looked it up and the first video I came to was someone playing with some sort of fluffy thing attached to a microphone and saying ‘whisper’ over and over. It was like torture and I had to turn it off!
