just had a look and to be honest i'm shocked that 'blink' is only a PG! Terrified the life out of me!

DD is 7. i will be watching it on catch up when she is in bed.

FrustratedTeddyLamp · 06/10/2018 22:23

Yeah there are quite a few spooky episodes like blink and that are you my mummy one its hard to say until youve seen the episode itself.

ginswinger · 06/10/2018 22:24

My 7yo loves Dr Who. We avoid the Angels episodes but she loves the Vampires of Venice! She's really confused that there's other doctors and can't get her head around anyone else apart from Matt Smith. I've tried to introduce her to the delights of David Tennant but she's having none of it. We're looking forward to tomorrow, we'll see if she can get her head around another time lord.

Pooleschoolschoice · 06/10/2018 22:26

I think my 9 year old would be fine but not the nearly 7 year old....

ShowOfHands · 06/10/2018 22:30

7 year old ds knows Dr Who backwards. He's a Matt Smith fan with David Tennant a close second.

I suspect it depends on the child.

Littlebelina · 06/10/2018 22:37

My 7 year old has been watching (preselected episodes NOT BLINK) for a few years now. Will probably let him watch this series live given what I've heard about it but he wasn't allowed to watch several Calpadi episodes

greenlanes · 06/10/2018 22:39

my child was in tears after one of the recent Xmas episodes. They would have been 10. I personally think 7 is too young.

darkriver198868 · 06/10/2018 22:40

DVDs from series 5 goes up to a 12 rating.

AdventuringThroughLife · 07/10/2018 02:28

Hmm yep Im not happy woth a 7 year old watching a 12.

Do we know what tonights episode is likely to be like. Im happy my 10 year old watching a spooky PG but not a 12!

darkriver198868 · 07/10/2018 07:24

I think it will be a PG but worth a Google to see for sure.

Cachailleacha · 07/10/2018 07:29

12 year old watching it on Netflix at the moment. Has to skip through some scary parts.

AdventuringThroughLife · 07/10/2018 08:30

Its not on netflix yet is it!? I thought it was veing shown tonight...

pitapizzapie · 07/10/2018 09:50

My ten year old asked to skip Blink, as it's too creepy.

We skip some of the boring "base under siege" eps as well.

Certainly, we'll be parked in front of the telly tonight!

pitapizzapie · 07/10/2018 09:53

Only certain episodes are 12. We skip those.
www.radiotimes.com/news/2017-06-08/peter-capaldis-doctor-who-is-officially-the-darkest-of-the-modern-era/ gives a list.

I don't know how you find out regarding the current series, though. Does anyone know?

Cachailleacha · 07/10/2018 14:47

This season isn't on Netflix, no. We are up to season 8, it would have been too scary for my 12 year old until now so catching up.
