Sky was horrifically expensive
Virgin is going up
I had a tiff with BT

DH likes sports but has never had a sports channel just eurosports and bbc/itv occasionally used iPlayer (bbc/itv) but records series of old soap (bill/casualty/doctors/any UK sitcom)

DD Netflix and binges watches whatever

I watch about 3/4 series a year and a dozen or so docs that I catch by accident

My mum is with BT and complains if we have no landline as it costs her money to ring us

Atm (until March) we have standalone broadband costing £21 a month for 64 whatevers and DD uses loads of it without her we use about 40/45 a month.....Netflix !!

Is there a cheap way out of this; I think I need a proper analysis!

Oh yes point of my thread is there somewhere I can go where I can get unbiased advise - I don'tmind paying as long as they are honest and look at the whole problem

Don't know the answer to this but just thought I'd throw in the fact that Talk Talk have a system of add-ons that don't tie you in. I know they have a bad rep for customer service but I've never had any prob. I have just the basic package (faster fibre+landline over 18 months) but add the Sky Sports package, which costs me only an extra £8 a month on a deal, on a rolling 1-month basis.

Thanks Mother William - I'll bare that in mind (or is it Bear I get confused)

I don't think we have an aerial which affects the discussion

But I am confused :)

See if Now TV is available in your area. I get phone, broadband and the entertainment package for about £35 a month. You can pay a bit extra and get sports etc.

At the moment I don't want broadband but thank you
