Starting on channel 5 25th sept @ 9.15pm. For anyone who's interested. I've watched all the series so far. Wish I was brave enough to do the same as some of them.

Rather jealous of the family just on

First two episodes have been a bit meh so far imo. Bus family seemed nice but boring and obviously needed an income boost. Hence having Ben with them for a week.

No it wasn't as out there as the ones he usually visits. But I think that's why I'm jealous of them it's not too out there!

I felt like we didn't really get under the skin of this person this week

Although the bit at the beginning said "Over the next 8 weeks" it seems like it isn't on this week. I think I remember it doing 4 episodes and then having a silly mid-season break and then coming back with the last 4 episodes later so maybe they're doing that again.

I watched one recently about the French-Canadian man living as a Buddhist monk in Thailand. I was taken aback by how much of a dislike I took to him — I thought he seemed damaged and narcissistic. And a gym bunny. Maybe I just don’t trust people who smile permanently as they talk.

I love the series in general, though.

I didn't get that impression from the monk. I agreed with Ben that I don't think his smile permanent smile can be real somehow? And I think we didn't really get below the surface with him

I also disliked the monk. He seemed to be very self serving imo.

Randi & Ben were proper into each other. Great viewing!

Randi was fab! Loved her approach, her style, her courage, all of it.

Randi was fab. Such a positive attitude towards everything. Beautiful part of the world as well.
