One off show tonight apparently consisting of Srrralan explaining what he thinks of the contestants who've left so far... could be interesting

oooh goody! i enjoyed the other spin off show last week with the remaining contestants.

maisym · 10/06/2007 23:05

great programme - like the explainations about why they went.

thought the bit on KAtie was interesting - plus the fact he didn't think she was a nice person. All that flirting for nothing!

TinyGang · 10/06/2007 23:14

I'd have love to have seen him change his mind as he said fire her anyway!

I'm not sure I heard this correctly...did she actually put the husband pinching bit on her CV? ( if she did)

maisym · 10/06/2007 23:15

TG - it seemed that she had put this in her cv - was shocked as well!!! What a thing to include as a great example of her work.

TinyGang · 10/06/2007 23:19

Blimey - listing it as a qualification. What a charmer she is

maisym · 10/06/2007 23:21

sralan said he didn't like her as a person but that business is different. I agree - awful thing to put down for an interview in a professional situation.

TinyGang · 10/06/2007 23:24

Who do you think wins?

I would love it to be Kristina (sp?) but I bet he chooses Simon. Sralan seems terribly impressed by his qualifications...which are impressive it's true, but I think Kristina is more mature/rounded and has had to graft harder to get as far as she has.

GloriaMumble · 11/06/2007 08:20

Very interesting bit on Katie; wonder what her parents think of Srralan's view that the "would have to ask my parents" excuse was bollocks because "she'd walk over anyone" - they must be soooo proud.

Also scotches Katie's comments on Radio 5 that she'd been told that Simon was the luckiest man in Britain... I quite like Simon, I'm torn who I want to win though cus Kristina's really grown on me.

Not Simon, Oh please don't let him win. He reminds me of a spaniel with big floppy ears and a big wet tongue. I'm sure he's lovely but a capable business man - uhh no.

chopchopbusybusy · 11/06/2007 08:34

I think the interviewer who described Simon as an underachiever was right. With his start in life he really shouldn't need the Apprentice to make him a success. I really hope he chooses Kristina, but I suppose it all depends on the final task.

I am struggling to decide who I think Sir Alan was going to fire last week had Katie not stepped down - I really hope it was Simon although I agree he is quite likeable he just doesn't seem to have the ability required.

speedymama · 11/06/2007 09:06

I wish Sralan had had the opportunity to fire that viper. Anyone who quotes on their CV that breaking up a marriage is an example of their ruthlessness is simply unprofessional, crass and horrid.

I think Simon has flair, ebullience, is able to innovate and thinks outside of the box whereas as Kristina has tunnel vision, is task orientated and focuses on accomplishing objectives. I'm still suspicious of her ethics because I think she will close a deal at any cost (thinking about the London Zoo task).

I think Sralan likes Simon because he is so unpredictable as well as creative and his ideas will either be brilliant or completely horrendous. Kristina, on the other hand, will be a pair of safe hands. I think Sralan will take a chance on Simon.

mummydoit · 11/06/2007 09:12

Chopchop, apparently it doesn't depend on the final task at all. I was reading something in the Sunday papers yesterday which said that the two finalists both worked for Sugar for six months before he made his final decision.

GloriaMumble · 11/06/2007 10:46

Much as I hate to defend Katie, I thought the steal-a-DH comment might have been on the application form. The way the interviewer said it it seemed like he was reading a question ("Give an example of when you've been ruthless") and then the answer. That seems to me more like an application form.

Whilst I don't think its anything to be proud of, I can sort of see that if you want t be on a reality show, that might be an answer that would get your application noticed...

at least she's out - wonder who will win. Kiristina would be great as she's been through a tough time & Simon as he can do many unexecpected things. Looking forward to wednesday.

How does the six months job work - will this be shown on wednesday as well?

HuwEdwards · 11/06/2007 11:16

I think that during the weeks, Srralan was truly taken in by Katie, hook, line and sinker. Since last week, all I've heard from him is how he was 'right to trust his instincts' when he challenged her after offering her the post.

He offered her a place in the final - I think his instincts were crap.

GloriaMumble · 11/06/2007 11:53

Nope, the 6 months work isn't shown, they still make it out to be all based on the final task.

I read somewhere (probably on MNet, so it must be true!) that last year they filmed 2 different versions of the final show, one with the Badger winning and one with Michelle winning and then they both went to work for Srralan for 6 months. He then decided which version of the final boardrom got shown. I suppose they have to film 2 versions if there's going to be the 6 month work experience otherwise they'd be problems if they changed hairstyles

OP posts:
maisym · 11/06/2007 20:55

why don't they just put this in the programme? - seems strange to hide the 6 months work experience.
