Day trip to the doctors, this seems more like where I go
Mrs T has lost control today.

I worked for a youth homelessness charity in London and our hostels were permanently full with care leavers. In a good way, they got a stable home for up to 18 months and the support of full time live in workers who helped them with absolutely everything, from cooking lessons to budgeting to finding jobs and long term accommodation. Not exactly "thrown to the wolves, Gobby".
