Ozark... worth carrying on with?

Last night I watched two episodes of Ozark.

DH loved it but I thought it was a bit "meh". It's a bit cliche and Marty is an absolute dick.

If it stays like it is, that's okay - it'll do for weekday evenings. If there's more of the Mexican drug lord bullshit I think I might have to bail.

Thoughts?

It's great, currently on series 2, stick with it!
Took me a couple of episodes too but it's very compelling once you get into it. The characters are all pretty evil and out for themselves but it is brilliant.

I'm loving it. On the 2nd series and I think I like it even better than the first.

I'm always a bit wary of coming on threads about shows on Netflix though as I might inadvertently see spoilers depending on what episode everyone is on. Which is a shame because when I'm watching something that is on terrestrial tv (like The Handmaids Tale) one of my favourite bits is to come on here after and read all the opinions and analysis that goes on of the episode.

I agree that there isn't anyone of much integrity.

I'm feeling sorry for Ruth at the moment though. She can be vile but I get that she is a product of her upbringing and would really like to make a decent normal life for herself given half the chance.

I’ve only watched 2 episodes of this as well I like it so far. I like Jason Bateman as an actor even tho am more used to him in comedies!

We loved it. Just finished second series.

Yes definitely worth it - halfway through series 2. Hope they do more.
