Would Strictly be ok for a 3 year old to watch?

I plan to record it and let her watch the following day, but I've never watched it so not sure if she'll ok watching it?

She wants to watch it as the ladies at Nursery have been talking about the dancing and pretty dresses and I think she'll love it. But no idea if it's suitable for a 3 year old?

yes, no bad language or anything. the couples just dance, judges give their comments and then it repeats.

MrsJayy · 07/09/2018 18:18

She might get a wee bit bored because it is on for a long time but she will enjoy it it is very sparkly

That's why I plan to record it then can fast forward through all the boring judges bits.

Bruno does a few double entendres but they'll go right over her head. But if you're recording & fast forwarding that'll be fine. It'll just be colour, sparkle and dance for her.

MrsJayy · 07/09/2018 18:27

Tbh I also record it so Ican ff th boring bits too

CatLadyToddlerMother · 07/09/2018 18:35

God yes, dd was obsessed with it from the age of 2 till she was about 6. It was all about copying the moves, and the ladies in the pretty dresses.

She denies it all now of course.

Camsie30 · 07/09/2018 18:37

100% yes! My daughter was obsessed last year, in particular with Debbie McGee (??). We would watch a little bit before bed and then the rest on Sunday. I took her to the live show at the O2 which was fab. It was a really lovely thing to watch together snuggled on the sofa

Sounds lovely. Might have to try it Grin

Of course, it's fine. It is really really long especially at first before anyone has left.

Mine used to make me dance around copying the moves with them. They would rather sleep in the street than admit to it now though Grin

I did the same with my 3 year old, she is now 10 and we fonthe the live shows each year, she is obsessed.
She didn’t grasp it at 3, but she loved the pretty ladies and the sparkle.
She did cry when Ola was voted out as she was her favourite!

My DS, aged 3 last year, loved it but good idea to fast forward to the dancing parts :)

Parttimewasteoftime · 07/09/2018 20:44

Yes its lovely I watch with both DS1 and DS2 from a early age a lot goes over their head. We pick a winner snuggle up its great even got DS1 into bake off result. Enjoy op

My children love to put on a frock or outfit and dance in front of the tv. They never listen to the talking but have been watching it for years, I can never get a proper listen as there's always some fooling with a boa happening. DS was three when we started letting them see it. They all love it
