I think it's quite sad really all this and at least it shows she's human.

Standinguptononsense · 04/09/2018 11:08

I saw this but hadn't see what had happened on loose women, I've watched it now and can't understand why she's been treated that way yet Kim hasn't?! She was just awful.

SinglePringle · 04/09/2018 11:10

I agree Standing. Kim’s first words were combative and aggressive. Neither came out covered in glory.

Charlieiscool · 04/09/2018 11:14

She must have been advised to show a human side since she and her ghastly sister were so horrible with Kim. What a pity it took her so long - but then her PR team needed time to cook up a strategy.

Chuggachuggatoottoot · 04/09/2018 11:15

Her emotion was genuine you could see that.

Chuggachuggatoottoot · 04/09/2018 11:16

Not saying she's innocent but I think it's quite sad really and I think everyone just needs to move on and stop the hate

tadpole39 · 04/09/2018 12:41

I really feel she should look back at her behaviour on loose women and understand what people are so upset about. She is a woman with genuinely unsettling opinions around homosexuality and her behaviour in the public eye is concerning. Having said that, both she and Kim Woodburn were set up by producers to react in exactly the way they did in the interests of ratings. It has massively backfired and ITV needs to examine exactly what it is aiming for with this programme.

Standinguptononsense · 04/09/2018 13:12

Kim was clear that she went on both BB (which again I didn't watch) and on loose woman for the money. She was aggressive from the off as well. I get she had a shit childhood but it doesn't give her the right to behave in that way.

Susiesoap7 · 04/09/2018 13:22

I think Colleen likes the drama, but then I have never liked her, she always reminds me of that girl at school who could get away with murder and manage to come up smelling of roses.
I think they should let it all go now.

I think CN's emotion was totally genuine, she was wrong on LW but I don't think she was unforgivable unlike poxy Roxy

Susiesoap7 · 04/09/2018 15:46

I believe she turns tears on at a drop of the hat, she always has done! Some people can do that

tadpole39 · 04/09/2018 17:13

Doesn’t everyone work for money? All the panel were paid, why should she not be?

RealJudas · 04/09/2018 17:22

Disappointing that she didn't acknowledge what people think she's done wrong (personally I don't think anyone came up smelling of roses from the LW thing), it was just a pity party about the trolls. She was only on This Morning to plug her tour.

Whisky2014 · 05/09/2018 00:26

Tbh I didn't see Kim and cn in the cbb house but I did watch the loose women thing. I dont understand why coleen is the bad guy here? Kim was aggressive from the start, worked herself into a frenzy, didn't get any point across then left angrily and teary. Coleens sister was a goady arse but coleen was ok...or am I seeing something else?!

Dowser · 05/09/2018 08:12

Kim came on like a greyhound out of a trap.
She was full of hell.
Nasty to everyone. vindictive and abusive.
Colleens stance was goady and sarcastic but that was because she couldn’t get a word in edgeways.

It was just horrible and Janet street porter needs to apologise for allowing herself to be talked into such a stupid situation.
She did herself no favours.

It’s time all of these tv ‘punchups’ were put to bed and we had some decent programmes.
We watch very little tv now
Last night’s wanderlust was dire.

Oliversmumsarmy · 05/09/2018 08:17

I think it's quite sad really all this and at least it shows she's human

I would be crying if I thought I was going to lose my very well paid job.

Rebecca36 · 05/09/2018 08:27

This is a storm in a teacup. I saw the LW confrontation on Youtube and it wasn't comfortable but I certainly wouldn't have gone as far as demonising Ms Nolan and signing a petition to have her sacked. No-one died.

Why these idiots parade themselves on things like CBB I do not know. Money or not, is it worth it? It's not as if any of them are destitute on minimum wage (that's true most of them anyway).

Colleen Nolan has always struck me as being a pleasant, ordinary sort of woman and as for Kim Woodburn, I only know her from the Jungle some years ago and she was great in that.

I think the Colleen and Kim business has been eclipsed by the frankly and obviously appalling behaviour of Roxanne someone (from Emmerdale) on CBB. I'd never heard of her but because of the hooha I watched all the youtube clips and was frankly appalled. Even so I wouldn't treat the woman as though she was Pol Pot.

Rockbird · 05/09/2018 08:34

I totally agree with Chuggachuggatoottoot (I had to C&P that!). This whole thing has got very nasty in itself. I was just as uncomfortable watching CN yesterday as I was watching LW last week. It needs to stop now and both women left alone.

ScattyCharly · 05/09/2018 08:39

The whole incident is absolutely pathetic and all involved have shown a lack of dignity. What the hell is wrong with grown ups who fight and argue on TV? My 10yo wouldn’t have even responded to provocation like this! I’d cut the whole programme personally, it’s utter tripe.

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 05/09/2018 08:57

It was like an episode of Jeremy Kyle, showcasing emotional instability for the delectation of a baying audience. LW has been drifting in that direction for a while now.

It’s difficult to say exactly who should take responsibility for the Kim/Coleen confrontation debacle and its fallout - but certainly blame can’t be apportioned to just one individual.

An all female talk show discussing topical issues with warmth and wit could - and should be - so much more than LW is right now.

Susiesoap7 · 05/09/2018 12:43

So how many of you are going to watch
Coleens solo tour?
Bet no one answers that

OP posts:
cactusplant · 05/09/2018 12:54

I don't understand what Coleen has done wrong?

Rockbird · 05/09/2018 16:21

I'm not because I never would have done in the first place!

supersop60 · 05/09/2018 19:02

I am not a fan of CN, but the clip of KW that I saw reminded me of my 14 yr old DS. If something bothers him he keeps talking, getting himself more and more upset, with the words getting evermore dramatic. CN didn't say anything in the bit I watched, and KW wound herself up into a frenzy of tears and name- calling. No dignity.

buttybuttybutthole · 06/09/2018 20:29

I saw the interview and I thought that Colleen showed more restraint and dignity than she was given credit for. She did mutter under her breath but I thought she was going to start shouting and screaming any minute. Her sister was mean though with her comment about having no talent
