I don't think whether he intended to hurt is irrelevant at all. It was an accident. If he had been angry and walked up to her intending to hurt her you could understand that she might feel intimidated. But he was just playing.

Plus all this sneaky telling people and saying the show are dealing with it that is just not true! But for Ryan not to know what is being said is outrageous!
