Moses is still the cutest person in the show

Will Pete and Rhona go the distance

Aaron is breaking my heart here Sad

Owllwo · 25/10/2018 20:54

Shock I can’t wait for them to get back to you.

I can’t believe I’ve never come across the emmerdale makeup Instagram account. This will really up my stalking levels Grin

I only see one foundation on the makeup station but can’t figure out what it is, maybe YSL or Chanel. Gosh this is exciting Grin

Until I buy the foundation and apply it but still look nothing like the beautiful Layla Grin

kikashi · 26/10/2018 09:27

Can't see Charity giving up Moses or Robert giving up Seb. Are Rebecca and Ross going to do a baby snatch? With the usual one tiny suitcase and no plan in place exit arrangement favoured in soaps?

Neither Ross or Rebecca would be likely to get full custody

JaneJeffer · 26/10/2018 22:07

Rebecca will probably return after a week.

Lydia was brilliant tonight.

JessicaPeach · 27/10/2018 13:56

I'm just catching up with the funeral. Aaron is stealing the show there, I've got such a weakness for him crying!

JaneJeffer · 27/10/2018 14:03

I didn't like the funeral episode. I felt like they were just using Aaron to tug at the heartstrings when he was barely involved in the storyline and didn't even get to see his sister when she was alive. I think it would have been more effective if they'd had a nice simple service without Chas interrupting everyone. I miss Ashley when there's a funeral. He was so good at them.

Jojoanna · 27/10/2018 16:18

I wasn’t keen on the funeral episode

JessicaPeach · 27/10/2018 18:40

I didn't enjoy it either. I've found Chas a bit annoying ever since they found out the baby wouldn't survive, dare I say I'm a bit bored of the storyline now

ShakeMe · 27/10/2018 19:41

I did sob for her when she picked up the basket and just asked to do it now, but at the same time I thought how selfish she was to not even think of paddy. It's his daughter too and he's just walking on egg shells and jumping to her every demand...but it's such a difficult subject I also understand her too- so I'm conflicted.

Didn't think they needed to add in the prev mc that Lydia had, it felt shoved in just so she could give advice..fake it til you make it is hardly an unknown tactic.

Maybe I'm a bitch.

JessicaPeach · 27/10/2018 19:51

Yes I know what you mean, I almost feel a bit guilty about finding her irritating

kikashi · 27/10/2018 20:15

I think Lydia was overkill. Chas has annoyed me quite a lot with how it always has to be her way. Although I do feel sorry for her at the same time.

Corneliawildthing · 27/10/2018 20:17

Glad I'm not the only one who has found Chas selfish and annoying. I was scared to admit it! I didn't like the funeral episode at all.

JessicaPeach · 27/10/2018 20:35

I'm not that interested in any of the storylines at the moment. Hoping debbie goes to prison and mildly interested in Cain/Joe but only if Joe turns out to be alive which is unlikely as theyve just done that storyline with Rebecca and have done it with Pete and Ross previously as well!

kikashi · 27/10/2018 21:14

I had started to like Joe. A lot more there that could have been explored. Didn't enjoy Kim Tate's OTT Cruella de Ville routine. She used to be more subtle. I think there is a new producer who's storylines start round Xmas time. Hope both Emmerdale and Corrie perk up. Although the departing Emmerdale producer is going to Corrie. Doesn't augur well.

JessicaPeach · 27/10/2018 21:48

I'd started to really like Joe too. Even after what he did originally to Debbie I would have chosen him when she inevitably ruined it! Having said that though I can't see it having worked out with her at home farm long term, it's just not a good fit!

ellenanora5 · 28/10/2018 01:26

I'm with some of you on the funeral, I actually don't think we needed to see it at all, she is being selfish, she's freezing out Paddy, he thinks he has no feelings at all towards Grace, I think he's just numb to be honest.

I wish Debbie would just go to prison for ever, she's dreadful

Also every storyline needs to stop being revolved around the Dingles, there's far too many of them.

It's just like Corrie, too many stories for too few people.

And I couldn't care less about Leyla, David, Maya or Clive.

Am I mad or did Megan not think she was pregnant at once stage after her fling with Graham, I remember her having a pregnancy test in her handbag, and I remember thinking that's convenient for when it accidentally falls out of your bag and the local rent a gob sees it and tells everyone.

TheJunctionBaby · 28/10/2018 11:00

I'm with you ellenora I couldn't care less about David/Maya nor leyla/Clive - in fact leyla just about the hell out of me

As for chas and the funeral, I didn't like it either. I expected it to be a real tear jerker, but I just find chas' crying forced. It doesn't move me even though I cry at almost anything usually. I didn't find the Lydia insertion particularly necessary either.

Emmerdale was giving me something to watch whilst Corrie was so poor, but it's just a bad now too

I'd like Debbie to go to prison because that's what would happen in the real world, but I'm guessing either she won't or she'll get a ridiculously short sentence and be back on our screens by Christmas

southeastdweller · 28/10/2018 11:32

The funeral scenes shouldn't have been on for two episodes but the writer's are obsessed with the Dingle's.

Lydia still annoys me because she doesn't come across as any way believable. I used to think it was because of bad writing but now realise it's because the actress is going OTT.

I'm hoping the grooming story with Jacob and Maya happens. Emmerdale are usually good with issue stories (Val's HIV, Lachlan assaulting Alicia, Laurel's alcoholism). .

CatLadyToddlerMother · 28/10/2018 11:35

I found the funeral up until Chas started ok, I could understand her annoyance but then she stood up and started crying all over the basket and to me it just wasn't realistic after that - I loved Aaron though. Poor Charity looked so confused when Chas started going on about no knowing the poem.

Poor Paddy did his best and it wasn't good enough! I thought he did well, and could see he really did care about Grace.

I don't care for Layla, I'd forgotten she wasn't in it.

I do quite like Megan though, and her and Frank are a good pairing as they've both done wrong and worked through it. Although I find it a bit unrealistic how quickly Frank, Vanessa and Tracy have gone to playing happy families after them all finding out there were related.

kikashi · 28/10/2018 13:22

Leyla is back with even fewer brain cells than she left with. The wedding company is her livelihood yet Megan had no idea Leyla was wrapping things up in Greece and coming back and Leyla was unperturbed at the bad reviews online.

Smidge001 · 29/10/2018 19:05

Totally agree with paddy - just keep your nose out of it Marlon!! You're being really really annoying.

JaneJeffer · 30/10/2018 19:47

I love Charity - not letting a half-wit like her take my son Grin

IStandWithPosie · 31/10/2018 19:09

How far is emmerdale from Liverpool? Would it not be possible for Ross and Rebecca to come and visit the children on the weekends?

JaneJeffer · 31/10/2018 19:38

It's amazing what Rebecca remembers when she wants to Hmm

CatLadyToddlerMother · 31/10/2018 19:43

Liverpool is around 70 miles from Leeds so not impossible for them to visit regularly. I’m about that from Liverpool (other direction) and went to University there and was home nearly every weekend. There’s a direct train from Lime St to Leeds which only takes about an hour.
