Mr Robot, does it get better? (SPOILERS)

We are part way through the third episode and I’m thinking of throwing in the towel.

On paper we should love this programme - DH is techy, we are both lefties etc but my god so far it is dire.

It’s so clichéd it hurts. Evil Corp, really? That speech about 1s and 0s was a great example - yeah, we got it about five minutes ago, shut up already. Then there’s the budget Patrick Bateman beating up a hobo, and I strongly suspect the central premise is a Fight Club rip off (or maybe I’m wrong...)

Does it get better?

Okay, watched the rest of episode 3 - it’s so blatantly a Fight Club rip off that it’s almost embarrassing that the writers think people won’t notice. I think I’m definitely done with this unless anyone has a super compelling argument not to!

Urrgh, it is one of the worst series I've ever seen. My teenage son loves it though.

Wow, I've watched all 3 series and really like it. i do think you need to be techie to get all the references. It's not really fight club so much as "unreliable narrative", though there are some aspects of that.

i seem to remember taking a few episodes to get into it.
