Just that really! I've found the first two episodes quite hard work, does it get any easier? I've heard so many people rave about how amazing it is but I'm just not feeling it.

No I wouldn't bother, I found the second series even more boring except for the very last episode.

I loved it but I think it helped that I’d read the books so I understood what was happening to begin with and the generally structure of Gilead

Cloudyapples · 28/08/2018 14:50

Sorry book singular!

Seniorschoolmum · 28/08/2018 14:51

I hated it. It made me cross Smile and I couldn’t help feeling there will be weirdos out there, taking notes and thinking that’s how life should be.

But I’m sure some people liked it.

Frazzled2207 · 28/08/2018 14:55

It's absolutely brilliant IMO but totally grim too. If you're hating it then probably best give it a wide berth. It doesn't exactly get any cheerier.

sue51 · 28/08/2018 14:56

I loved it but it wasn't on easy watch.

WooYa · 28/08/2018 14:58

I loved it too but I had to really watch it.

BagelGoesWalking · 28/08/2018 15:05

Its grim and chilling. I found it hard watching but it's really good. I particularly like the flashbacks as they show how slowly and insidiously these things could happen. It reminds us that we need to be on our guard.

I'm actually coming round to thinking it's essential viewing for women. We all know there are plenty of places in the world with aspects of Gilead and men who wouldn't admit to it, but would welcome at least some of it.

MrsJamieFraser2 · 28/08/2018 15:23

Hmmm, I think I'd rather watch something more upbeat perhaps!
