Talking to DH about going to primary school and we got talking about the TV on wheels (best day ever!) I suddenly remembered a TV show they used to show us but I can't remember the name or any exact storyline so I can't google. Can you help?
It was set in WW2 (I think) and it had children being evacuated to the countryside. It was educational-ish as it had letters/sounds and binoculars that looked for different letters/sounds. It might have something detective/spy about it.
I watched it in early 2000s and I think it was made by BBC.

Ah, I loved the TV on wheels!

In my day it was Badger Girl and Through the Dragon's Eye. Magical. Wouldn't want to rewatch them now though as they're probably shit now! I made that mistake with the TV series of Narnia (The fawn is literally just a bloke in furry trousers).

We watched Through the Dragons Eye too! Kids these days get stuck with Peppa and In The Night Garden - we got the proper stuff 😂

I'm too old to ever have watched these athings school, but I discovered them on YouTube. I've shown my classes Spy watch, Zzap and the Word master, Captain Crimson, Badger Girl, Through the Dragon's Eye and my favourite- The Legend of the Lost Keys. The kids love them. It's a nice way to finish a Friday afternoon.

I was always pretty scared of Charn in Through the Dragon's Eye. A few years back I thought I would google the character so I could see how ridiculous I was being but nope still scary! Surprised they showed him on a kids show.

I remember some series about a Viking village and the children in it. One of the boys was call Gerth.
