Is Pokemon suitable for a 3 year old?

Ds has found out about Pokemon from seeing toys in shops and my friends playing Pokemon go. He is desperate to watch it, but I haven't seen it before and it's not on channels aimed at preschoolers. Is it age appropriate?

Yes. My Ds loves Pokemon and he's 3. Its available on Netflix

He should be fine, unless he’s very sensitive. It is technically aimed at an older audience and the stories are more complex than those in preschooler shows, but no swearing etc. Some mild fantasy violence (mild peril as films would say) and sometimes the Pokemon get hurt so might be intense for some, but my two year old niece watches it fine and my nephew’s watched it since 2.
