Netflix or Now TV?

I can't work out which would be best for us.

We've currently got Sky TV most basic package but it's expensive and we hardly watch any of the channels.

I recently stayed somewhere with Now TV and it was excellent, but Netflix appears to be cheaper.

Does anyone know what the difference is?

Now Tv entertainment package will give you the channels you get on Sky... Netflix has lot more variety and movies too.

but Netflix wont have the stuff from Sky channels...

I have access to both and we watch 90% Now TV and 10% Netflix. Probably not even that much tbh

I got rid of Sky and replaced it with Netflix and Now TV. After a few months I got rid of Now TV because I rarely watched it. I keep getting emails from Sky offering their basic sub for £11.

You don't necessarily have to pick one or the other. We have Netflix all the time but dip into NowTv and Amazon for a month at a time to binge watch a series or two.

I have both and watch them equally. Netflix has films, whereas the Now entertainment pass doesn't.

I have both and there’s not really any overlap.
I have Now so I can watch the sky Atlantic stuff and Netflix for the Netflix

You can get a movie pass for now tv though and I just noticed today that there's something called hayu on it too which I will investigate further later.

Also got about 13 sky channels you can watch live with now

We have our internet through Now Tv plus the movie package- it’s fantastic. Never had any trouble with it, easy to set up and a great range of kids films to choose from.

The more adult films definitely favour quantity over quality however, but for £30 pm we’re happy with it. I love it for the handy access to the More4 and iplayer apps- I watch a lot of documentaries when DH is at work!

Netflix is a different beast in that there’s a lot more on offer and they seem to update their recently added content more often. I’d rarely put it on on my own as a lot of their non-drama stuff doesn’t appeal to me, but 99% of the tv that DH watches is Netflix.

Get a free trial for both (remember to cancel it if you don't want it before the trial is up or you will be charged) and see which one you use more.

I have both, I am more for now tv and my husband is more for Netflix

These answers really surprise me. We had both but hardly ever bothered with NowTV so cancelled it. It was handy to be able to put Comedy Central on when I was cleaning the lounge bit that was about all we used it for. Both DH & I watch loads of Netflix, we have the £9.99 per month package. DD watches it too. The download feature on the iPad app is great and their original shows are really good.
