americantrish · 30/05/2007 21:15

im watching it tonight, but chances are high if dh were home, we wouldnt be

BellaBear · 30/05/2007 21:16

okay, I'll stop posting (but not watching)

BellaBear · 30/05/2007 21:18

but only to complete your night. Well, 50% of it.

southeastastra · 30/05/2007 21:18

i am split because i know it's one thing that's keeping the studios open here. argh

BellaBear · 30/05/2007 21:23

I WANT SOME APPRECIATION godammit!

Desiderata · 30/05/2007 21:24

Ah, Twig. What to do? I've never even watched it ... just been caught out by some news clips and general chit chat. I loathe it more than my toenails (and they're not nice).

I suggest a Big Brother boycott thread, just to keep it down on MN. Have you also heard that the Police have seconded members of their own to watch Big Brother in case there's any racism or violence. We're paying for them to watch Big Brother.

It's good to know that old ladies are safe on the streets, ain't it?

GlassSlipper · 30/05/2007 21:24

I agree - it is shit.

But....I do watch the celebrity ones

Desiderata · 30/05/2007 21:26

The celebrity ones are even shitter

gemmiegoatlegs · 30/05/2007 21:28

I'm not watching. Mind you, I start not watching every year and end up dipping in and out and feeling like I've lost ten weeks of my life. NOT THIS YEAR I TELL THEE!

Carmenere · 30/05/2007 21:28

It is popular culture, I will watch this one and then no others until there are only about 5 left and then I will probably watch it occasionally.

Desiderata · 30/05/2007 21:29

Yoghurt is also a popular culture ...

LazyLine · 30/05/2007 21:31

I can't believe that people are still interested in it.

It has made me hate Davina. And I only watched the first one.

southeastastra · 30/05/2007 21:32

people are strange.....

Carmenere · 30/05/2007 21:32

Yes and I like yoghurt occasionally too

Desiderata · 30/05/2007 21:33

Yes, Davina will not be remembered with relish, methinks.

francagoestohollywood · 30/05/2007 21:33

reality tv... I think it's a political conspirancy. No, I don't watch it.

Desiderata · 30/05/2007 21:35

There's a BIG BROTHER thread going on right now, Carmenere!

GO JOIN ... leave us grumps to ourselves.

Before you go, are you watching The Apprentice at the mo? Farking hilarious!!!!

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 30/05/2007 21:50

I never hear anything interesting from the people I know that watch any reality TV. They love the fights, the nervous breakdowns, the bullying.

It's horrible. Like some Victorian freak show.

GlassSlipper · 31/05/2007 08:22

sounds like MN, Duchess

hippmummy · 31/05/2007 08:33

No convincing needed but i'm with you Twiglett!
After watching the last 7 BBs I've decided I'm over it. Couldn't bring myself to watch them go in the house last night as I knew I'd be sucked right in.
It's had it's day IMO.

CatIsSleepy · 31/05/2007 13:27

bunch of airhead bimbo up-their-own arses attention-seeking-pig ignorant -and generally- blardy annoying creatures why on earth would i want to watch them?????
ahem. that's just my opinion though.

mind you i do love the apprentice......

JoolsToo · 31/05/2007 13:30

I've grown out of it thankfully

Tinker · 31/05/2007 13:36

But BB viewers know it's pointless and dumb to watch. So?

PinkMartini · 31/05/2007 13:43

I confess to almighty Twiglett,
and to you,
Mumsnet sisters,
that I have sinned through my own fault
in my viewing and in my posting on the BB thread,
in what I have done, (see above)
and in what I have failed to do; (switch it off)
and I ask blessed Mumsnet,
(not a virgin,)
all the angels, huns, and saints,
and you, my Mumsnet sisters,
to pray for me to the saviour of my tapioca brain.

I hereby promise not to post on any more BB threads.

BellaBear · 31/05/2007 14:04

PinkMartini - that's two of us, I reckon Twiglett's night has been made
