It is a daft idea. I wonder if he is running out of $$

PunchtheClock · 26/07/2018 22:59

I imagine his divorces cost alot.

ilovetomatoes · 26/07/2018 22:59

Please no! It’s bound to be awful. It was complete perfection as it was!

Wolfiefan · 26/07/2018 23:01

Noooooooooo!!
I loved Frasier but it won't work.
No Eddie? The chair is long gone? And Daphne? Lord knows what's happened to her accent. Grin

dinosaurkisses · 26/07/2018 23:03

No Martin either!

ilovetomatoes · 26/07/2018 23:03

How can you do it without Marty? Impossible

ilovetomatoes · 26/07/2018 23:04

Great minds Dino!

AWomanIsAnAdultHumanFemale · 26/07/2018 23:09

No Martin either!

No Sad

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 26/07/2018 23:14

Of all the reboots, I’d watch this one.

PurpleDaisies · 26/07/2018 23:16

Terrible idea. I e been watching the originals again and it really tailed off after niles and daphne got together. How many more ways can they do “frasier is bad at dating”?

Bluelonerose · 26/07/2018 23:18

No no no they can't do that. If they do maybe a one off 20 years later but no.
Don't mess with the classics.

PunchtheClock · 27/07/2018 10:09

It’s such a classic they need to leave well alone. I didn’t realise he’s like Roseanne and a massive Trump supporter.

MargotLovedTom1 · 27/07/2018 10:11

There is no way they could do it without John Mahoney as Martin Crane. Re-casting him would be unthinkable.
Leave it alone! It was perfect.

KellyBailey · 27/07/2018 10:13

After seeing the Will and Grace reboot I'd say no, it won't work. Think of something original please, tv companies.

Clionba · 27/07/2018 11:26

I'm in agreement - leave well alone. It was brilliant, very funny, but should be left. No John Mahoney, enough said.

dingdongdigeridoo · 27/07/2018 13:00

Yeah the will and grace reboot was awful. If it’s anything like that then it’ll be a disaster.

Frasier left Seattle in the final episode, so it’ll be a different city, no Martin, no Eddie unless he’s 100 years old in dog years... sounds awful. And yes, Kelsey Grammer is quite an unpleasant guy, so I can imagine something going wrong like with Roseanne.

Clionba · 27/07/2018 13:19

Will and Grace is dreadful, and the original finale of the series ended well, rounding off the narrative with their adult children.

PunchtheClock · 27/07/2018 19:07

I enjoyed Will and Grace Blush

MrsJayy · 27/07/2018 19:11

After the Will &Grace abomination they really need to leave well alone if it does go ahead they won't re cast Martin he will have died.

Clionba · 27/07/2018 19:11

Don't be embarrassed, Punch, it's a free country! Wink
I just thought the scene where Grace was in the Oval Office a bit cringy Confused

PunchtheClock · 27/07/2018 19:25

Oh but it got much better after that

OP posts:
Clionba · 27/07/2018 19:26

Did it? I really liked the original, but had to switch the new one off.

CaptainKirkssparetupee · 27/07/2018 19:28

As much as i like it, a lot of the later episode have actually dated worse than the earlier ones, and they were made during the shows run.

Eminybob · 27/07/2018 19:28

The Oval Office episode was terrible, and the whole “it was just a dream” cop out about the original ending was lazy, but actually I quite enjoyed the series.

UrsulaPandress · 27/07/2018 19:30

Noooo. It is our go to watch when nothing else is on. Please don't spoil it.
